The architecture attracted me to make the reservation and it lived up to expectations. FYI, i dont know Basel very well and have not stayed overnight before. It is a good location and easy to get to the concert hall etc. The courtyard is extra special and will be a key reason to return if/when th opportunity arises in the future.

Newly built in 2014, The Passage in Basel is a centrally located design hotel featuring a sauna, a fitness center, free WiFi access and air-conditioned rooms. The location close to the Old city was great. Also had a nearby bus to the main train station. The staff were always pleasant and helpful, and on checkin they changed our room so we could get straight in at 11am. The room was spacious and very clean. It was also very quiet. The bed was comfortable, and there was ample storage space. The fridge was convenient. The bathroom was just fabulous. The walk-in shower was enormous, with a rain shower and lots of hot water. Range of toiletries supplied also. Overall, a great experience and I would recommend this hotel.

This eco-friendly 4-star boutique and design hotel is located in the heart of Basel. The stylish rooms all feature modern amenities such as iPod docking stations. Free Wi-Fi is available. Perfect, central location. Next to the tram station. The Rathaus is in 10 minutes easy walk. Very clean hotel. Reasonable breakfast. The size of the room is all right for few days stay. The room is clean, the air conditioning worked well.
