The family-run Hotel zum Schwarzen Bären is located in a quiet side street in the center of Linz, only a 3-minute walk away from the main square. It offers free Wi-Fi access. The staff was very friendly. For example, they helped me find information about the events, and they even packed me a "breakfast bag" when leaving very early in the morning upon checking out. All in all, I found the hotel very clean, their cost-free WiFi worked well, I enjoyed air-conditioning in my room, the hotel's location is perfect, and the breakfast was versatile enough (with quite nice and healthy options as well).

Hotel "Wilder Mann" is only a 7-minute walk from Linz’s Main Train Station. It offers free Wi-Fi access in public areas and free parking. As I traveled by the early train, I needed the early breakfast on Sunday. And I got it!

Good size room. Queen bed (not twin, which I don't like as a solo traveler). Very friendly staff. Great location. Very nice, welcoming feel.

Family-run since 1906, Hotel Lokomotive is in the immediate vicinity of the main train station of Linz. It offers comfortable rooms and a rich breakfast buffet. Location was excellent, just a block from the train station. A very nice breakfast was included with our room reservation. Room was clean and adequate for our needs. They were doing some renovation on the property during our stay, and the updated section looked very nice. They stored our bags after checkout so we could explore town more before catching an afternoon train.
