We love Simonstown. It is so quaint and picturesque. We love the historical buildings and the friendliness of the people. It is a wonderful tourist destination as Cape Point is nearby as well as Boulders Beach with the famous penquins. Stunning views over the bay with the pretty yachts to view.

Simon's Town is the perfect place to go to, to not be in the city, to relax and to unwind.
Boulder Beach was an exciting experience, and we truly enjoyed it.
We ate at Fran's Place on the Waterfront, and had the most delicious Seafood Platter.
The food at Willets Hotel is just as amazing!
In Sea Point, Cape Town itself, it feels unsafe to sit on the Beach for too long, but in Simon's Town we stayed on Long Beach until sunset.
It was a calming few days. Wished we could have stayed longer.

A little noisy late evening and early morning due to comings and goings with deliveries etc.

If you are looking for a peaceful place to entertain younger kids without the big commercial rush of the bigger more popular areas in Cape Town, I recommend Simons Town. So much to do with younger kids who enjoy the outdoors without the rush of a lot of people around you.
Hosts were amazing! Belinda become our mum away from home - always looking after us in the form of freshly baked cookies, occasional chocolate drop off's and constant updates about everything going on in the area.. This Greek Mommy has all the best restaurant spots (obviously) so do not hesitate to ask her opinion on things - You can tell she loves and cares for her guests and will go out of her way to ensure they have a memorable stay. :) Would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Simons Town - You won't be disappointed.
Million dollar view from a huge balcony, comfortable bedrooms each with an ensuite, large lounge room and a full kitchenette.
The host was amazing, gave us lots of useful info and recommendations. We left a shirt behind when checked out, and the host rang us straight away and arranged to have the shirt dropped off to us while we were still in the neighbourhood.
Can’t fault this place, 10/10 and one of the best stays in South Africa!
The Willets is a great hotel, old and distinguished, with beautiful architecture. Staff r very friendly and service thru out is first class. The hotel manager is wonderful, and really takes a genuine interest in guests. It is very centrally based in the middle of a small town, steps away from cafes and bars. Breakfast is included and is very good. I would not hesitate staying there again.
The location was great - we really liked staying just outside of Simon's Town. It was a nice and more relaxing break than staying in Cape Town. The unit is very cute and we felt at home. We were able to visit the penguins just a couple of miles away several times and also an easy drive to Cape of Good Hope. The view is beautiful and the breakfast was good, the hosts were welcoming.
we had the most amazing stay at the cottons cottage. Best accomadation we stayed in in south africa. The cottage was perfect for us (Family of 4 adults) and we just loved everything, the Location, the View, the interior design, the comfy beds and the equipment of the cottage. It had everything .Big thank you also to Sheena, who was an amazing host and always available.
EVERYTHING! The hosts, Jenny’s breakfasts, the location, the attractions (pingouins, baboons, Cape of Good Hope reserve) were more than we were expecting! The view was great. it was a very safe area! Everything! Location was great, walking distance to boulders beach & seaforth restaurant. Self catering had everything we needed and more! Staff were amazing & always helpful. Nice cafe to have some breakfast or lunch at the hotel. Peaceful stay with my little family 🏝️🐧🐚😃

The breakfast is in the Saveur rertaurant below. Its ok. The room was clean and friendly, light. The hotel is close to the Pinguins at boulder beach as well as to the best restaurants in town. The parking is in front of the entrance

Hotelkeepers are fantastic people. The breakfast was tasty with beautiful view on bay. On my last day I have to departure really early (5:30 AM) and they prepare for me really tasty breakfast ahead!
