The location of the hotel was fantastic, right next to the Orthodox Church, the park, and only 20km a walk from Registan Square. Getting around Samarkand on foot is easy, even in hot weather!
The restaurant (Istanbul) does excellent kebabs and coffee, and was very much appreciated by me after a long hot drive from Tashkent.
The staff were also brilliant. I had a problem with the air conditioner (which turned out to be broken) on my first night. The staff kindly gave me a room upgrade as a result, and as a result I slept better, and felt great.
Breakfast was great too - the spread is very large, well-prepared and tasty. There’s free water available as well, a blessing in temperatures of 40 Celsius and over.

Stay in the old quarter in a traditional house and you can get everywhere on foot.
Fast train is fun but we took a taxi to tashkent and also to Bukhara which is much more flexible..
Taimoor Museum, Registan Square, Siab Bazzar, Bibi Khanam, Rohbod Museum, Rohbod Mosque, Hazrat Khizar Mosque, Shah-i-Zinda, Charso Bazzar and Taimoor park where his Statue is installed are the very attractive places to me

Samarkand is a city rich with history, where every site has a story. The main attractions like Registan Square are stunning, and the local food is delicious. People here are very friendly and welcoming. I also found the city to be very safe. It's a great place that feels both ancient and welcoming.

Registan square is quite beautiful and a must visit place in Uzbekistan. In terms of food, there are very less options for Vegetarian food but have 2-3 good Indian restaurant where one can find some good Indian Veg food. Cabs are also very cheap here to roam around the city.
It was a very comfortable cozy place to stay. The staff is very respectful and always here to help no matter the situation. The rooms are very new and offer complimentary slippers, water, and toothpaste and toothbrush. They definitely care about the satisfactory of there guests. It is very cold in Uzbekistan and I thought the rooms would be cold too but that was not the case the whole hotel was very well heated all throughout they had heated floors even the bathroom. When I am back I am definitely staying here again.
I absolutely loved this hotel! this is where you want to stay while visiting Samarkand: the location is absolutely perfect (yes you have to walk a little bit because cara can’t go to the street) but it’s a very small walk.
breakfast was delicious and there was a lot of stuff to chose from, I loved they had Nutella and crepes among many many choices.
The room was huge and very quiet! yes mattress are really firm but that’s everywhere in Uzbekistan.

We stayed 3 nights at OPTIMIST guest house and it felt like being home. Iskandar, our lovely host, made everything easy for us: booking a tour in Samarkand, a day-trip to the seven lakes in Tadjikistan, taxis at a very good price. We enjoyed very much his company and he was very helpful whenever we needed a piece of advice or when we arrived at around 3.30am from the train station. His kindness and good sense of humor made our trip to Uzbekistan even better.
Excellent and modern apartment in the centre of Samarkand. The owner is super helpful, speaks fluent English and is always reachable via WhatsApp. The apartment has all the amenities and feels like home. We were on a 2-week trip across Uzbekistan and the washing-machine was exactly what we needed! The rooms are huge, and the kitchen is fully equipped cooking utensils and tableware. We stayed for 4 nights and had a comfortable and cozy stay!
Am amazing experience from start to end. Got picked up from the station by the owner, they had a room ready even though I got there before 11 am. Comfiest beds and quietest, spotless room in Uzbekistan (I second the person who said it's got the feel of a cheap Japanese business hotel, design wise XD). The breakfast was more than ample and the entire family very warm and welcoming. Location 5 minutes from Registan, what else can you ask for?
Our group had a wonderful stay in Samarkand at the Diplomat Premium Hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful. They even allowed us to keep our baggage somewhere until our train later that evening so we could enjoy the city luggage-free. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here and it was right across the street from Registan Square!
Excellent location, very central. We could do everything on foot. The hotel is fancy for Uzbekistan, so the price is more expensive than usual. But the room was really large and the shower was larger than in other hotels. Also there were a few restaurants open until reasonably late, which was convenient since we arrived around 10pm. The breakfast was good, but better arrive early :)
very nice family hotel, not far from one of the main sightseeing places (they are scattered through the city). a bit far from the city center but in a very quiet surrounding what was a big plus. hotel has a comfy inside yard where you can enjoy breakfast in the air when spring breaks out. breakfast was good and tasty compared to all other in Uzbekistan, highly recommend!!
They were extremely accommodating, especially Dillshod. They allowed us to check in early as well. All around service was superb. Careem was also very helpful when we checked out of the hotel. In addition, Dillshod went above and beyond in making our Uzbekistan Trip worthwhile. We will definitely recommend Like Inn to our friends and family.

I spent in total 10 days in Uzbekistan in 5 different hotels. This one was by far the best. In an interesting historical builing, rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable, the staff speaks english very well and help where they can.

Cleanest hotel in Samarkand (and I mean that, we haven't seen another hotel this clean in Uzbekistan)! Beds are sturdy and great. Amazingly nice host who is willing to help, a good breakfast and a good location close to Gur-e Amir and the University in a neighborhood for people who want to see the daily life in Samarkand.
I think this is one if the best hotels not in Samarkand but in all Uzbekistan 🇺🇿. The staff is so welcoming and helpful even helped us booking a train to Tashkent , Managing airport transfer to hotel and finally they hosted a new year party for all the guests . Love the vibe and love their energy and attitude .
The service and hospitality is beyond our expectation. They are helpful and it feels like a home rather than a hotel. The tourist attractions is just walkable from the hotel.
