That morning as I was getting into my car the cleaning lady was so so nice and friendly. rooms were very clean. but not enough soap for two people. Over all we enjoyed our stay. We would like if they offer more specials.

Wharton isn't a very popular tourist destination - I have family in East Bernard nearby. I wasn't visiting for a "happy occasion," I had a funeral to attend.
Wharton is a great town with lots of historical value, a true diamond in the rough. They had a farmer's market that weekend that shut down an entire street, and the locals were absolutely amazing.
It's near farming towns (if it isn't one, itself - I don't know much about the history of Wharton specifically) so the produce was fresh and they were able to answer questions about when it was harvested and pesticides/success rates for specific crops so far this year. .

Seems like a nice quiet country town.
Seems like a nice quiet country town. I patronized a local Nail Salon, there they were nice and took care of my request quickly. I also ate at a local restaurant where the staff was very nice and attentive. I was in town for an event at the Wharton County Fairgrounds, which I enjoyed very much.
There was a charge for every little thing. Hotel owner/manager is coming up for another charge. Spoke to a girl that actually works there and she said yeah he charges for everything. For the price we might as well have stayed in Holiday Inn express will probably do that next time when we’re in the area Asked for a smoking room… Door said non-smoking but there was this ashtray inside. Wonder how many people they give this as a non-smoking room to?
The room was clean and inviting. Only an hour out of Houston Medical Center, which assisted travel time to and from home in the Valley (Texas). Very nice employees always willing to ensure your stay was positive. The room had a microwave and very nice refrigerator and freezer - bonus. Comfortable King Size bed and large television.
I liked the physical location of the hotel, but not the physical hotel itself. The guy at check-in was nice and definitely had good customer service. My room had an abundance of electrical outlets and the physical bedroom furniture seemed new, so those were two positives to an otherwise negative stay.
I love the fact it was right of the freeway, across from Walmart, across from Buc-ee’s, and especially next to 2 great places to eat What-a-burger and Dennys!! Hotel was very clean with yummy breakfast!
The hotel was easy to access from the freeway. Nice, clean , comfortable beds and atmosphere. Cold air conditioning. Hot water continuously. Breakfast was great. The elevator smelled sanitized .
