The property has several cabins fairly close together. It was nice off season for us because we prefer the quiet setting. The cabin was very clean and stocked to facilitate making simple meals.

It's a lovely little town. I'm from MN and actually thought it was bigger. Unfortunately, the Fall leaves were gone, which was the purpose of the trip. However, we made do. Hoppy Girl Brewery was a great small place, with the most friendly people. Kind of a Cheers kinda place, where you are a friend the minute you get in. Brenda was exceptional!
Silver Star was a nice bar and restaurant, also with very friendly staff and good bar food.
All in all, I would say Wabasha was a very friendly place.

I have been visiting Wabasha and Lake City all my life.
I have been visiting Wabasha and Lake City all my life. Lark Toys was closed on NYD but that is usually a highlight. Try the Irish Pub , the Eagle Center, the ice cream store, Stacys Kitchen. GO across the bridge to Nelson and Alma. See the Armory Museum. In Lake City eat at the Family restaurant or the Lake House (formerly Watermans) or the Bank Bar. ALWAYS visit Treats and Treasures! Hand made candy is the best plus clothes and other candy and gifts and trinkets. Cute store always changing.
