We stopped here as a rest on our way to Florida. We were allowed to check in a little early, as we got there sooner than expected. The room was very clean and the staff was super nice and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely rate the staff score higher if i could! My husband and sons enjoyed the pool after supper and before bed. When we got up in the morning we went over for breakfast, which we enjoyed a lot. There were a lot of choices. Eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuits, cereal, muffins, waffles, toast, coffee, and juices.
The Econo Lodge hotel is located one mile from Troy University and the Pioneer Museum of Alabama. The hotel is less than two miles from the Movie Gallery Stadium.

The hotel said my card used to book room wouldn't be charged until I arrived at 6 pm. Well my card was charged at 11:00 a.m that morning before I ever got off work, or deposited my check into my account..I took off early, deposited my check into my account, and then my family and I traveled 3.5 hours on Dec 15th 2022 for my son's graduation at Troy university for the following day. Get there and our rooms had been cancelled because my card was charged before funds were available. Although the card was only suppose to have been on file to hold rooms...then card would have been used to purchase rooms upon arrival!! I was furious! And then staff nastily told my family and I no rooms were available!

There needs to be a BIG sign for the motel right BEFORE the motel, the one now is past the motel, up against the pine trees and we missed the motel and had to turn around and go back, not a good set up.

We will definitely be staying again in the future. The staff was helpful and very curtious. The entire hotel was clean and smelled good .The rooms were nice with very comfortable bed. Great price and we highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Troy,Alabama.
The breakfast was no Hampton Inn.
I paid a breakfast included rate which turned out to be one item only from a limited list.
The right management could turn the “restaurant” area into a money maker, but has no idea how to do it.
Many customers were frustrated and irritated just trying to get a cup of coffee. If you can’t train some staff and have a proper functioning restaurant, then put in a self serve coffee machine and call it a day.
The staff is always very accomidating to my drivers. We use this hotel a good bit for on coming drivers. They are always impressed with the breakfast and the kind staff.
I have never been treated so poorly by a hotel than I was at this hotel in Troy Al. One lady was so nice to us but the other one was horrible and rude.
