I met two of staff, and both were super nice, specially the gentleman who was the recipient when I arrived at night. They were very friendly and share information about neighborhood. Also, breakfast was not listed for this hotel, but they offered free breakfast, which was pretty good in fact. Beds were comfy and clean.

Beautiful small town, feels like a safe place to visit, friendly local residents, and close to winter sports and cooler climate in summer. I chose to drive further than I originally planned during the day because I knew from previous experience that Springerville is a great place to stay.

We had heard that Goob's Pizza was good, but was closed on Sundays and Mondays which were the days we were there. The town of Eager is 5 min away and has a wonderful restaurant, Trail Riders with wonderful food and great service. Highly recommend eating there.

The Round Valley has a lot going for it.
The Round Valley has a lot going for it. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy many options...hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. History buffs would enjoy the area too. From Native American history to outlaws of the wild west to Mormon Pioneers it's here in the Springerville-Eagar area.
The Springerville volcanic field is the fourth largest in the US with more than 400 extinct volcanos.
The hotel is older but it is kept up well. We had a king bed and the room was very large. Lots of plugins for the computer and anything else you would want to plug in. The room was spotless and the location was great! There is a good restaurant across the parking lot and the museum was right across the street. We will always stay here when we are in Springerville. The maid service and the people that work the front desk were very friendly and helpful.
The renovated room was comfortable and cheerful. It was the perfect road trip motel. I needed to work while on the road. There was a desk to accommodate that. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was modern. Each of us had a comfortable chair.
I give the owners so much credit for upgrading and modernizing the concept of the motor lodge. Make sure you request an upgraded room.
I loved not staying in a generic chain hotel.
I travel pretty extensively and the Rode Inn is by far the best place in northern Az. I cant think of anything that didntt exceed my expectations. I had to park my own car but other than that the dining was great, everything intuitive to use. everything was clean and fresh. Even had fresh flowers at each breakfast table. The artwork in the dining room with "the Duke" John Wane is something altogether worth checking out!
What you expect. Older property but the owners have tried to make some upgrades. Shower worked well there is no tub. Floors had been redone, no carpet. Bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. You see lots of evidence it’s a tired property but for the price and location it’s just above expectations. Also since we were on a motorcycle it was nice we could walk to several restaurants and a Safeway and bar n grill.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was massive, super comfortable, and clean. I felt very comfortable. I've been driving cross country and trying to stay at places under a hundred dollars a night. This was the first hotel on my trip within my budget where I didn't feel the need to block the door with a chair. I had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was an added plus.
The real room key was a plus, sure enjoyed our stay at this old school motel. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. There is a wonderful green space to enjoy, my little dog especially appreciated some grass. Seems that most hotel/motels that allow pets don't really provide such a lovely place for our furry friends.
The only staff we encountered was the pleasant gentleman during our arrival the 1st night. The location was great. Don't let the name fool you. This is not an 'Americas Best Value Inn' and they do not hold to that chains standards.
