Not a fan of hotel breakfasts, but this one appeared to be very good! Nice crispy bacon, omelet, hot cooked oats, variety of breads, fresh muffins and scones, etc. Plus we arrived later in the evening and they had popcorn, coffee, cookies and chocolates in the lobby.

We were surprised at the many things to do that were close.A simple stroll around the historical society was terrific. A short drive to many beautiful places. Plenty of places to eat and shop if you forget something.

Dos Amigos has excellent, authentic Mexican food!
Dos Amigos has excellent, authentic Mexican food! We even planned to stop on our way back through. There's also a little shop in the same building is worth a visit. We only had an overnight stay but could easily stay longer to view the beautiful scenery. It is very close to Stoystown 9/11 Memorial. We stayed at the Days Inn because it was pet friendly. Very clean motel.

Hampton Somerset was a great choice. It was very clean.
Hampton Somerset was a great choice. It was very clean. Room a nice size. Fabulous breakfast available. Everything I hoped for. My only problem was trying to get to it from the road. The GPS wanted us to get back on the turnpike. We could see the Hampton but couldn't get to it. We called and the gentleman at the desk was very helpful and kind.

People are friendly, hotel located in a confusing and busy set of intersections. Dumpy area and lots of traffic outside hotel. Somerset is busy with very lovely areas surrounding..easy driving once out of city. Way too many Donald Trump signs everywhere. People want to visit without having controversy or feeling pressed. Leave politics out of the scenery! Just let a town have its character.!

If you plan to visit the Flight 93 Memorial park, Dollar Inn will more than get the job done. It is approximately 13.5 miles from the park. My husband and I would recommend King's restaurant. The food was almost like home cooking. The portions were plentiful and a great value.

Nice little town, though the hotel is in very developed area...
Nice little town, though the hotel is in very developed area just off the turnpike, not especially nice there -- but the advantage of being easy to find and get back to from other areas. Somerset sort of near Flight 93 Memorial and some state parks, of which we went to one before I became ill and had to go home early. Went to Laurel Hills State Park, which was charming. Many fast food places, and I understand there were other places as well, though difficult due to covid-19. Somerset is not difficult to get around at all.
The manager charged my account an extra $250 for a smoking fee when I don’t even smoke and no one smoked in the room, this was before I even left the hotel. The toilet ran non stop but they have a sign where they are trying to conserve water and couldn’t give us any extra towels until after the third day of our stay even though we had to use two for the floor cause the toilet ran and water was everywhere. The tub didn’t drain, so I guess not having towels was no big deal because we couldn’t shower.
Literally one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. I travel throughout the country weekly. I know a great hotel and staff. The staff was top notch. The staff that was running the complementary breakfast was absolutely incredible. Extremely attentive to guests. They kept the area extremely clean. Our room was extremely clean as well. Would definitely recommend this location again. Thank you!! Don Barna room 108
Roger the hotel inn keeper was wonderful in all aspects. Friendly, accomendating, and a great conversationalist. This is a unique hotel with lovely accents. I do recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. One thing that I do recommend for better access is the replacement of the key system. This needs to be updated with keyless entry methods.
It is a very quiet place and the room was very comfortable. I like to get and walk in the afternoons and at night. There is a very large complex behind it that is a great place to walk around. Wi-Fi service is excellent. I have been to Somerset four times and I have stayed here four times. I always stay where Jesus would stay!! :)
To my surprise the hotel was much better than I expected. The room was modern and clean . Lots of restaurants near by to walk to . It was overpriced for the area however but most were coming in around the same prices except for the dumps. I asked to checkout at noon instead of 11:00 and was granted . Much appreciated!!
The price was excellent. The front desk was very informative and helpful. The location of the hotel was so great for food and convenience stores. The breakfast bar was sufficient and had a lot of breakfast items along with milk, juice and so forth.
I loved that the channel selection included a couple of christian channels. I also like the friendliness of the staff. They were very helpful in anything I asked. I also like that the extra storage drawers you don't get with other hotels.
Close to freeway for a quick overnight. The staff was friendly and allowed us to pay cash after secured with a credit card. Hotel itself a bit outdated. Rooms clean and modern. Bathrooms looked a little worn.
This was the first hotel we used in Pennsylvania since we arrived from Texas and they we very polite and the price was great. It's also located near alot of things in the town so you can get alot done.
If you are in the need to stay in the Somerset, PA area Do Not hesitate to stay at the Budget Host Inn!!! This Inn has been well taken care of and squeaky clean.
Awesome breakfast. Hotel is older but super clean. The person at the front desk whom I believe was the owner was so nice. He made us feel very welcome.
