The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. It is on a beautiful piece of property with a pool, volleyball/badminton court, grills that you could borrow, everything that you would need in a kitchenette, very quiet, 2 seperate bedrooms w/big beds. Loved it!

I was charged $50 for so called damage that didn't occur. I feel that either the cleaning staff, or owner lied about the damage and illegally charged my bank account $50. I will never return and will never recommend this establishment. We did not authorize the charge and the owner hung up on us when we tried to dispute the charge.
We were there for a very short time, so we did not make use of the free breakfast or any facilities. The most important thing to me was that everything felt very clean. The beds were comfortable and the room was up to date and the space was organized for convenience. The doors to the outdoors were controlled with a key card, which helped my wife feel safe. The rooms were just as pictured on the website. It was located near a Walmart, so while not glamorous, very practical if you wanted to pick up anything your forgot or get some snacks.
Although quite near some major tourist centers, Sanford was down-home enough to give us a taste of everyday local life. There is a great Mexican restaurant in the nearby shopping center and a great breakfast place (Raspberry something) right down the road The inn owners were quite friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable within a high-priced region. The wifi worked well in the morning. The ground-floor room was quite convenient and our car was parked right outside of it.
The entire hotel is very well kept and super clean. They follow a strict smoking policy and you can tell! They offer laundry facilities that was great! The place is located directly in front of a Walmart, so that was convenient. A Dunkin Donuts is 5 minutes up the road. Wells is about 18 minutes from the hotel.
Loved everything about the property. The Trappeur King Duo was in a great secluded area with all enmities already there to provide a great glamping experience yet still have the old camping feel!! highly recommend and wish we could have stayed longer! will make it an annual tradition!!
The owners went out of their way to upgrade our room for the same rate as our original booking. We discovered a great Mexican restaurant called El Mexicano right nearby. There's also a great breakfast place called Mel's Raspberry Patch just a few miles away.
Perfect location, easy access to downtown Sanford and the beach areas to the east. Quiet environment. Spotless room with a comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Keyless entry.
