We anticipated a budget minded experience and received much more. The room is aging, but was clean - much cleaner than the Marriot we stayed at the night previous. The owners were quite friendly and generous. The beds were reasonably an 8 out of 10 - again far better than the price point would lead you to expect. The motel is quaint and very nicely situated with a Tesla Super Charger very close at hand. We will certainly stay again when we travel to Acadia. Thanks!

I was told by Booking.com that my request for a step in shower was confirmed. Upon arrival at the location, none of the rooms had a step in shower and none of the rooms even had safety grab bars in the tubs. This is unaccaptable.

Excellent location, friendly staff, great place for families
Wells is a great little town. I visited off season, but there were many places still open. Mimi’s Quilt Shop further down Route 1 was awewsome! I had a great dinner at Mike’s Clam Shack and breakfast at the Egg and I. Although there were many antique shops, none seemed open when I was visiting.

We loved our beds. They were so comfortable.
We loved our beds. They were so comfortable. It’s a convenient place to stay because every thing you needed is in the same road. Just up the road from Wells beach , Maine Diner and the Egg and I. I loved that! We were put in a downstairs room and the people upstairs kept walking around and we heard it all night. I would avoid getting a downstairs room. That was the worse. Nubble Lighthouse not far away.

Beautiful area - the beach is gorgeous!
Beautiful area - the beach is gorgeous! Perkins Cove Candies, Congdon'e Donuts and The Bitter End restaurant are 'must visit' stops. The Bitter End's food was unique the spot was fun and festive. Had a spectacular spicy marguerita with their house-made jalapeno tequila. Not a 'touristy' spot either. I might drive the 2.5 hours just to eat there again. lol

Be prepared for the exorbitant meter rates at all the public beaches. Otherwise, good food such as the Maine Diner and nearby attractions such as Lundholm Farm. To avoid the rip off parking, we drove up to Ferry Beach State Park, well worth it.

Wells is not as charming as Ogunquit but hotel was between the two. I would choose to spend time in Ogunquit. Enjoyed going to the playhouse and the marginal path. Parking is a nightmare, however. We parked by catholic church after last mass. Otherwise, not sure where we could have parked. Would like to make it on to the beach for next visit.

Very nice village to get to know southern coastal Maine up to Portland. Fishing trips easy to be booked in small harbor (speak with harbor master, or ask for captain Tom). Easy to eat Fishermen’s Catch pub nearby. Shops nearby and beaches available. Smaller and less touristy than Kennebunk or Portland.
You can visit fair amount of lighthouses within a few minutes driving distance from here.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Had a couple really great conversations with the gm-she's lovely!
As a solo traveler I felt safe on the property and overnight. Linens were plentiful and clean, bed was comfy. Others guests at hotel were also friendly-there is a cute fire pit/ grill area that guests are welcome to use. Close to everything so parked the car and rode the bike all 3 days. 30 minutes or less to Rachel Carson State Park, Wells Preserve, Marginal Way, Kennebunk etc.
Location fantastic for both Wells and Ogunquit. Great host in Patrick who cooked fantastic breakfasts! Room was large with great shower and ac. Pool looked fantastic (unfortunately rained quite a bit when we were there so didn’t use) gardens were beautiful. Great easy parking and within walking distance to may restaurants
No breakfast here…I ended up with a downstairs room . The people upstairs kept walking across the floor all night. No more downstairs for me. Good location because Wells beach up the road , the Egg and I and the Maine Diner are all on same road. Loved that!
Staff was very friendly and kind..Clean and comfy room..Breakfast was very good compared to other hotels. Lobby was very nice to sit and spend time. Housekeeping service was asked during check in and provided though we stayed 2 nights..
I love that it is on gorgeous Wells beach. Park your car and relax. Bed was very comfortable. Pool is so convenient. Wish the hotel has some amenities e.g. snack bar, place to grab a drink. Otherwise, I love it and will be back soon
The location/area in Wells. The beautiful 2bdrm unit with natural lighting, comfort all around and easy ground floor access. Like the pool and the staff. Have already stayed before and WILL CONTINUE!
The location of the hotel was fantastic. The continental breakfast was fantastic. We were so grateful it was offered. The room service was amazing and timely. The hotel and grounds were really clean.
Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel receptionist is so kind and genial. He was very helpful to us.
Location of the hotel is right in the middle of Kennebunk and Oganquit which was great for me.
Location was great. Wells is a nice, quiet town and away from the more touristy areas in coastal Maine. Room was nicer than I expected, clean, and with a great view of the marsh.
Wells/Moody is my hometown and my fiance and I were visiting from Montpelier Vermont. We needed an affordable overnight stay in that area and this place was perfect!
