The lady at the desk was so sweet and was the only great part of my experience. I will say that the room was cute and seemed decently clean? I'm actually not sure though since I left.
Edit: Travelodge really did make good on this and refunded me! That brings my review up another star. Thank you, Travelodge!

FAQs about hotels in Reno
On average, 3-star hotels in Reno cost £86 per night, and 4-star hotels in Reno are £77 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Reno can be found for £57 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
In many respects Reno is a less outlandish version of its Nevada cousin Las Vegas. Within minutes of landing at Reno-Tahoe Airport you can be hearing the dinging of slot machines on Virginia Street where a glowing neon arch welcomes you to ‘The Biggest Little City in the World’.
Across the plaza is Harrah’s Reno, just one casino hotel available on Booking.com. Larger casinos with spas, such as Peppermill and Atlantis, are off the main strip. The largest is the Grand Sierra Resort with its own amusement park, large pool and night club. Pet-friendly motels and cheap hostels are other options.
Aside from gambling, the city hosts many events including the Reno River Festival in Wingfield Park. The Truckee River Walk connects shops, restaurants and bars popular with students at the nearby University of Nevada, the state’s oldest. The campus includes the Mackay Stadium and Fleischmann Science Center and Planetarium, set opposite the arboretum of Rancho San Rafael Park.
The Nevada Museum of Art is in Reno and neighbouring Sparks has a Heritage Museum. The 2 cities share a convention centre and livestock events centre, and there are many golf courses in their green surroundings. Even lusher are the Sierra Nevada mountains, whose peaks around Lake Tahoe offer some of the best US skiing.
3 days was perfect time. Enough to lose some money but not over what I had expected. We had a car one day that was nice but inside the city if very depressed (boarded up) but they seem to be working on it. The river walk was great, over neighborhood a bit iffy.

I was born here, I would visit Reno more often due to the immense beauty of the surrounding area, the arts, food, and things to do. I suggest going camping or visiting the wilderness (with Caution) and go see some of the history of the Silver city (biggest little city)

All I can say is Reno is now what it used to be cracked up to It used to be really the spot until COVID after COVID all downhill kind of like a ghost town downtown. A lot of the casinos are shut down nobody really is partying or having lots of fun like they used to be I've been there a lot of times before and after not really sure of a great place to eat we just eat wherever is convenient. Getting around part well Google maps will do that for you if you have a car which is normally what I have.

Our room was decent but the rest of the hotel was unsatisfactory, to say the least. There's free parking but we're handicapped so we had to pay for valet parking and pay and pay because of having to leave the hotel for different reasons. The service in the restaurants was very slow and the slots were tighter than a witches ***. I asked around to a lot of people and they said the same thing. The machines weren't paying crap. I just kept putting money into them with no payout. The signs around the casino were very poor. We could never find our way around because there was very little direction. What's with that???
We will never go there again.
We had two rooms and two queen beds per room; plenty of pillows on all beds and super comfortable mattresses. We went to Reno to see The Killers in concert, who were playing the theater right on the property! It couldn't have been more convenient. The theater was awesome, as well; our seats were about midway up, and we were still close enough to see the expressions on the band members' faces! And the hotel/casino felt almost like we were in Vegas.
Amazing hotel in the centre of mid town Reno. The location is actually three hotels together and the walkways, bars, restaurants and casinos are seamless entry between all three. We parked in the complimentary car park and have to admit it is very difficult to actually leave the resort. All the facilities are there including circus circus activities for the kids. Will visit again.
Very good place for the price (one of the cheapest I saw when searching):
- Nice front desk people and everything clearly explained
- Room was clean and comfortable, with TV, fridge, microwave and coffee maker
- Wifi and A/C worked correctly
- Plenty of parking
- Located 5min by car from downtown Reno and 1 minute from highway
- Very good price/quality
All around very good stay
Easy access to the home and garage. Kitchen, fridge, dishwasher were all convenient. Place had enough bedrooms and was very spacious, and a huge backyard. The place is conveniently located near a strip mall with wal-mart, food options, and tahoe skiing. 10 minutes from Reno downtown and casinos.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, good casino. Felt safe, and had food options on site. Good location, only 10 minutes to downtown Reno. Close to gas stations, stores, restaurants, pharmacies. Room was in separate building from casino (just across the parking lot), so it was quiet at night.
The renovations are beautiful, I couldn't believe it was the same place as The Sands.
Having a non-smoking section, every little bit helps.
Enjoyed the bar area, bartender was great.
The rooms were very, very nice.
Having been “avalanched” in the Sierra Nevada, and having managed two days after to arrive to Reno, we were looking for a hotel in front of the airport. This Hyatt is the place for that. Nice staff. Very clean place
Overall nice King room with a good bathroom, large TV, and solid furniture. Fitness center was great but no pool unfortunately. We enjoyed the casino and nearby downtown Reno activities.
Very nice and clean hotel. Right in the middele of downtown. No casino which is nice. Parking was only 15$ a day which is extremely cheap for valley. Front desk very helpfull.
The rooms were really spacious, beautifully furnished and very clean.
In the downtown but slightly away from casino hotels, which was a big plus while traveling with kids.
