A wonderful historic town with a beautiful river running through it and a thriving sawmill. Wish we’d stayed longer than 2 days. Grabbed items from the grocery store’s deli across the street; also ate at Mi Pueblo (delicious, large portions); The Falls bar and grill 8 miles north on hwy 57 was quaint with a stream and Falls not visible from the highway. The town rolls its streets up at 8 and 9:00 (including food), so plan to be settled into your room or at the motel’s backyard setting by then. Bring mosquito repellent. 😂 There are a lot of marketing ops here. Would’ve loved a tour up and down the river. Our favorite spot was behind the motel overlooking the river and listening to the motel’s sensational onsite couple Cookie & Tommy who had a big repertoire.
