Room was clean. Staff was nice. Accommodations were pretty basic. I'd rather stay at a Marriot branded hotel I think, a little more fancy/plush. Location was okay. A visit to Sunrise Handy Market next door for some mojo's (seasoned potato wedges) and a monterey jack burrito made things better.
This motel is 15 minutes’ drive from Lake Success. Guest rooms features a seating area with cable TV. The simply furnished rooms at Motel 6 Porterville provide air conditioning and a work desk.

The location is good, only 45 min to Sequoias NP. Enough parking lot! Nice staff! Three river has more close and better options with higher price though.

I love being in Porterville, going by Murry Park, Zalud Park, the skatepark for the kids and Giovannies Pizzeria and Arcade, not to mention it has a good amount of shopping outlets for a fairly small town!! And even amid construction in streets, it is always easy to traverse around town!

I have to admit that our google map lady needed some help in figuring out how to describe round-abouts. She also had trouble keeping up with GPS signal. However, we went to eat at the Black Bear Diner and the food was great and the staff were really nice. We also stopped off at the Wal-Mart and it seemed pretty well stocked.

Trail of 100 Giants was very nice.
Trail of 100 Giants was very nice. Gets crowded after 11 a.m., $5 parking, lot fills up fast. Very nice walk on a paved trail. Would recommend if you like nature.
The town of Porterville not so pleasant, will not be staying there again.
Enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very clean, wonderful and friendly staff. We were a bit further away from Sequoia National Park than we expected, but not the hotels fault. The walls were a bit thin and had noisy 'neighbors' for a bit of the time but overall I would recommend it and stay there again if in the area.
The hotel is cheap - and looks that way. Cleanlyness is OK at best, not amazing. There are few amenities - no fridge, no hairdryer etc, but that is expected given the 56 dollars it costs per night. The people working there are very friendly, though, and that makes up for a lot.
I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. The room was well appointed and was much better than I expected for the price. It was definitely America's best value. I will look for this hotel change when I travel again.
I liked how clean and kept up the Holiday Inn hotel. I was very impressed and glad I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn. The location was perfect for my daily travels to work.
