Nice village but NO TRANSPORTATION!
Nice village but NO TRANSPORTATION! cars are not alloeed on Fire Island aside from police, fire dept and utility vehicles. If you have any physical challenges its not a good place to go to unless you can walk the miles of brick walking paths. Also only one very small sign showing you the way to the ferry. And if you are walking east towards the ocean bay park ferry you miss it! The sign is only visible from one direction. I ended up walking too far too long with luggage b
ecause of that one small sign.
