The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Overall experience was a 10 but for one tiny thing. Our tv remote didn't work, but the night manager clerk came up and helped get it going. He was awesome!!!

Excellent view over Munising Bay, with ample seating. We travel with a dog, and there is a large grass area for her to play. Room was clean and facility well maintained.

We stayed in Room 21 on 10/10/2023; $123.14 for the night. The gentleman at the front desk was super friendly. The room had an interesting bed configuration and coffee, fridge and microwave. The shower was hot and strong, but the tub drained a bit slowly. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and we slept snug as bugs with the excellent insulation. Grade A.

Very comfortable. The location is real easy to find
location great. pool clean and well cared for. could have...
location great. pool clean and well cared for. could have benefitted from a good breakfast on sight,. Loved the stories of the ship wrecks on the wall. Loved the boat tour, water falls and the lake and the early am breakfast restaurant near by. Staff could have been more engaging and friendier but they were ok and did their job. How about a guest laundry? And the pool was clean, stocked and nicely maintained and it was open long hours. parking lot in back was ok but more lighting would have been a benefit. Anything could have happened in that parking lot and noone would have known it. Maybe a large and visable camera of parking lot with a sign saying it is watched. But overall a nice property with a great pool.

Munising is beautiful.
Munising is beautiful. We took the Pictured Rock Cruise - strongly suggest everyone do that. We did a lot of hiking so that we could see the falls up close. That was great for our family - ages 9-65 - but you do need to be in shape for a couple of those hikes. Dining is fabulous - every place we went to was amazing! Really encourage you to try the whitefish - even if you are not a 'fish' person. I am not a 'fish' person, but I loved every fish dinner I had (especially the fish Ceaser salad at Duck Pond). Fresh fish is so much better than any frozen product. We stayed at a hotel on the lake - best choice- the views are amazing. Take the trip - there is something for everyone!

Great waterfalls, hiking and riptide ride!
Great waterfalls, hiking and riptide ride! I would like to further explore Grand Island and do more hiking.
The restaurants I dined at were not very good, at all. Munising needs to upgrade their dining options, in my opinion.

Kayaking pictured rock was a must do.
Kayaking pictured rock was a must do. Even for bad kayakers! (With guide). City/town was nice. Restaurants are ok but not a home run for vegetarian but no different than the whole of Michigan except maybe Ann Arbor.

Amazing destination for sightseeing waterfalls and rock...
Amazing destination for sightseeing waterfalls and rock formations. A hidden gem in the United States. If staying in Munising, there is not much for restaurants and/or variety. Check out "ByGeorge Brewing" for hospitality and quality local brew. Department stores are limited to Dollar Generals and small hardware stores. There are a couple grocery stores. People are very nice and genuine.
Our room was absolutely stunning. We went to celebrate a late honeymoon and anniversary and got placed in a honeymoon section and it was by far the most beautiful hotel room i have ever seen. The pool was warm and wonderful. There was a real sauna. Absolutely amazing. The desk staff were so friendly and sweet especially the 2nd shift ladies. Got us balloons and a card to congratulate us. So sweet! Great service.
It's located right on a grassy patch on the shore of Lake Superior. There were two older-style rooms in our unit, a traditional pull-your car-in front of your window motel unit - nice to have a bit of separation from each other. There were some basic freebies (danish, OJ, coffee etc) in the hotel office that can get you going until (or instead of) your breakfast in nearby Munising.
As soon as we arrived we were greeting by the employee to check us in. She was so friendly and nice. She interacted well with our son which was the reason we were on the trip for his birthday. We are from Kentucky and have stayed in alot of hotels along the way and we will definitely recommend your place over other places we have stayed just for the friendliness of your staff.
We loved everything about our stay. Everything. We were in the area for my husbands birthday, I had mentioned this to a staff member, upon arrival there was a small gift bag with a card signed by the staff. So thoughtful. The staff is amazing, beautiful location, clean, pet friendly & comfy beds. Had an amazing stay. I can not say enough positive things.
Scotty's is a quaint little motel. It is located within walking distance of all the restaurants and breweries that Munising has to offer. Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We would stay again.
Very nice and clean hotel. Was very close to Downtown and convenient. Nice breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. We felt safe and secure. Will definitely stay again. Thank you for your great services.
Gorgeous place. Great for summertime. No tral access is you are going to the area to ride. But they will let you park your trailer at another one of their hotels for the day.
- It is a nice European-style hotel, very different from the American mass constructions.
- The dinner and cocktails were really good!
- The staff are friendly and helpful!
. View, sunset and porch overlooking the lake were phenomenal. The information about the hotel indicated there was a fire pit to have evening fires but there was none.
The room was clean with a refrigerator and a microwave. It wasn’t as updated as other hotels but the staff was super friendly and the room was clean. A big plus for me.
