Search hotels in Mathis, Texas

I honestly didn't spend much time in the town of Mathis, there was 2 convince stores and a couple motels in said town with a Chinese restaurant in front of the motel in which we stayed that's really all I know of as far as the town. I went out to the ocean and deep sea fishing so I wasn't in town other then to sleep really. The room was what I expected it could have been a bit cleaner for instance hair in the bath tub when I got there. I just cleaned it myself everything else was clean and in working order the parking lot was a bit rough, however it was paved with speed bumps. The people were nice enough. I enjoyed the 4 days and 3 nights we were there. We will book a room there again when we go again.

Our trip was only for a day. Didn't really see too much of the town. What I did see was a clean town with several different restaurants, some local and some familiar: dairy queen, McDonalds, Pizza Hut etc. They did have two barbeque places, that I saw. We ate at the barbeque place right across the highway from the hotel. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. (Sorry can't remember the name of it but you can't miss it. HEB food store close by as well as the Dollar Store.
