The cabin was great and the facilities like parking, fire pits and bbq were good. The bed was super comfy and the dining table and shower were really good.

You know, it's like camping, but without all the hassle of packing all that gear. The bed was comfy, but I'd suggest bringing an extra blanket 'cause the one they provide is a bit thin. The bathrooms were clean, and the camp host is right there if you need anything.

We arrived at Kernville after many detours and roadwork disruptions. Even this far into May, evidence of winter road damage around hills and lake is evident and requiring work.
The river is the feature of the town. Walking around was easy, there was not much traffic. It was a pity that many stores, gift shop were not yet open. It was thrilling to watch kayakers risking life and limb on pretty violent waters. Fishermen were hopeful. Would have been great to see fresh fish on a menu somewhere. Food quality at Ewings was excellent and staff were lovely.

Kernville is a quiet, peaceful town serving the tourism industry of the Kern River Valley. There is a choice of eating options: two diners offeringAmerican breakfast and several restaurants - my particular favourite is Ewings on the Kern but others are available. The Piza Barn is worth a look - beer and Pizza, nothing fancy. The Kernville Saloon does not offer food, but is a vibrant town bar with music, sports and a good selection of craft beers as well as branded.

Corral Creek Lodge is a good hotel to stay in but not the best in the Kernville area.
Liked · Location was good...just 8.5 miles from downtown Kernville. Our room (6) was mostly clean and comfortable. The air conditioner/heater required help from the staff to turn on (a circuit breaker needed to be reset). The staff was helpful and friendly and responded to our requests in a timely manner. There was a very large grass area for guests with pets to use to exercise and relieve their dogs. The patio was equipped with seating and BBQ equipment that was clean and comfortable.
Disliked · The shower curtain was the only item that was not as clean as it should have been (there was visible mildew on it and it smelled bad.
There was a safety issue with the exterior steps that needs to be addressed. The steps are painted red but there is no paint on front edge of steps to warn you of the edge. I have attached photos to show the tripping hazard.
The soundproofing in the walls between rooms is poor. We could hear guest conversations in room next to us.
The dog rules are not being enforced...the guest next us did not have their dog on a leash and the dog was using the post supporting second balcony as it's pee spot. We had to walk thru dog pee to get into our room.
The coffee maker needed to be cleaned better or replaced (a good soaking with vinegar would help remove stains).
The AC/Heater fan button may have been broken because the fan stayed on ALL THE TIME and was disturbing to listen too.

Less tourists than in national parks but be informed that this is the forest and not the actual national park. That’s a good 4 hour drive. Booking.com website is deceiving. You get to see giant sequoias but not this is not the sequoia national park. This is in the sequoia forest and much more popular with fresh water fishing

Kernville is a cute little town located in the perfect place for a motorcycle ride. Every road in & out of Kernville is fun to ride/drive. The town itself has enough restaurants to satisfy most people

We really enjoyed our stay in Kernville.
We really enjoyed our stay in Kernville. It's a great small town with an interesting history, the beautiful Kern River running through it, and surrounded by mountains. We stayed at the Kernville Riverview Inn, which is right across from the river and was very comfortable. We went to the Kernville Saloon, which had fun entertainment and drinks. The animal heads on the walls were a blast. We ate breakfast at Cheryl's Dinner, which was very good. Overall, Kernville exceeded my expectations, since I had never been before.
We have stayed here before and liked it so much, this will be always be the place we stay at when visiting Kernville. It’s the perfect location and very reasonably priced. Sure the building is old and so is the decor, but that’s what you want when visiting a place like Kernville. The rooms are always very clean and overall plenty of space for the family. Love the fire place and porch/balcony over looking the river and park.
Spacious house in quiet neighborhood in Kernville. You can visit the shops in town, take a kayak on the river Kern or go to the South part of sequoia national monument (which is further away than Apple Maps thinks).
The house is clean, beds are comfortable and shower was good. AC is a swampcooler, which means you can leave your windows open which I love. Inside temp around 78F.
Washer and dryer in working order.
Great find - lovely rooms. We got a river view and it was just that with the moutains in the background. Great veranda (roomy). Room was also great. Check in was easy (although not always manned after a certain time - so check in time needed and agreed). Short drive to Kernville which is a great little town. Didnt see any bears but lots of birds. Peaceful setting would recommend.
The location, right on the Kern River, was very nice. This is a classic road-trip hotel with it's own local style and fun little touches. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was cute, and I liked the fact that there were dishes and flatware for the little kitchenette. Everything was clean and comfortable.
The room was very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and a big bathroom. The staff was friendly and gave us good recommendation about where to have dinner. The atmosphere is very cozy and it is possible to use bbq outside of the hotel to cook your own dinner. We also used the laundry
It was very close to the little town with places to eat in walking distance. The inn had a nice grassy area perfect for sitting outside with my dogs and listening to the river across the street. There were great hiking trails within a few minutes' drive.
The hotel was so charming! Prestine setting nestled in the woods & perfect view of the river from our balcony. The wonderful lady that checked us in was so nice and friendly & welcoming.
Our new favorite place!
Great location in the centre of Kernville next to the Kern River. Spacious und clean room. Really nice terrace, enjoyed our breakfast there. Helpful guide in the room about local restaurants etc.
Fabulous location and excellent accommodation. Lovely kitchenette to cook in or you can use the communal bbq if you wish. Kernville is a 15 min drive for provisions. Totally recommended 👌
The house is comfortable and walking distance to town. Ana is friendly and always communicates promptly. This house is our favorite place to stay when we visit Kernville. We will be back!
Perfect service, beautiful room, good breakfast - experience as you were visiting beloved friends not a hotel. `high recommend for those who want rest, love nature and beautiful views
very cozy and spacious enough for six people and pet friendly. they had a small dog park which was nice as well. the receptionist were very friendly and attentive.
Pet friendly, which was the main reason for booking here. The location was a very short drive to the river and an even shorter walk to an awesome pizza barn.
Adam was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations about hikes nearby. The breakfast was amazing and the lodge is located in a beautiful spot!
