Super place right on the lake. Large rooms with refrigerator, microwave, indoor dining table, outdoor furniture and bbq. Docks in front, nice for kayaking or canoeing. Great value for Grand Traverse area, a little off the beaten path, but not too far.

They left a pie for us (which was very nice but not needed). I really appreciated that there was water and soft drinks and coffee available and there were snacks in the cabinet. Very glad for the WiFi as internet access without was not available.

Great Lake view, everything is within 10 min and cabin is spacious for a family or group of friends. Host was also super helpful and nice.

Every member of the staff that we interacted with was extremely pleasant and helpful. I was delighted to see a smoking area outside with chairs and a roof! Usually don't get either one. The beds were obviously new and really comfy. The TV was good and they did have a channel listing card. The hot tub was large and really hot! The only downfall for the entire property was the continental breakfast was delivered to our room in a bag due to Covid. Not a fan of cellophane wrapped muffins or day old bananas.

The manager was nice. We asked if there was a toaster. He said he would check it out. We found out as we were checking out that he drove 50 miles to get one for us! We didn't find out in time. We really appreciated him for that. We just didn't find out in time.

The staff was very nice and helpful! The location was central to all the things we needed to accomplish and the room was nice. It just seemed that the price was quite high for the loss of all the amenities due to COVID-19. There are three fair golf courses in Kalkaska. Several very nice Golf courses both East in the Gaylord area and West in the North-West side of Traverse City 40 minutes away. Also, Boyne City to the North and Crystal Mountain Resort and Golf and several river and lake adventure type activities to the West, and South-West in Traverse, Empire and Beulah, Bear Lake and Manistee, MI. Manistee Lake is located in Kal;kaska area as well.

It was beautiful and peaceful and my family’s first time up that way but it was definitely a nice little get away for myself my spouse and my child. I would definitely recommend this place. We liked it so much my sister has now actually booked a trip up there and is staying at the same place we did!
Price way too high for the quality of hotel/ room. $90/ night is way too expensive. I booked same hotel about a month ago for the weekend (2 days following this stay) and it was only about $137 for BOTH nights. That is more in line with what the prices for this hotel SHOULD be.
Facility was nice and clean. Room was a nice size and very cozy. Staff was nothing short of friendly and kind to us our entire stay. Great pool and hot tub accessible to us every day. Free breakfast daily that was much better than we anticipated. Just 30 min from Traverse City
Breakfast was FANTASTIC! Rooms were spacious and very clean! Beds were nice, but mattress was very hard. Overall this hotel was great, would recommend it to people. We will be staying here again if we are up in this area again!
The breakfast was definitely worth the whole trip. The food was well prepared delicious and plenty of it as well as a big variety. This is probably the best breakfast included with hotel I have ever had.
