Pool out of order and had been prior to covid.
Pool out of order and had been prior to covid. If it is out of service for long periods they should uptake their website info until it’s repaired. Specifically looked to stay in a hotel with an indoor pool for my 9 year old only to find out when arriving that it was out of service and would not refund my stay so that we could relocate to another property with a working pool. Very frustrating to say the least.

Busy town for east Texas.
Busy town for east Texas. There's a good mix of chains and local businesses and restaurants to make it interesting. The people are super friendly - just like you'd expect from an east Texas small town.

I felt uncomfortable like I was being stalked by the staff.
I felt uncomfortable like I was being stalked by the staff. It was very stressful and I’m surprised my daughter didn’t have a seizure with the stress. I’m glad it was only two days but I wish I’d of just paid one day because that was even too much.

Jacksonville is a good city with a lot of history.
Jacksonville is a good city with a lot of history. This city is known as the Tomato capital of the world. It has a newly renovated Tomato Bowl football stadium! Several new restaurants have opened up.
Hotel was easy to find, front desk staff was very friendly, but professional, and our room was easy to access. We ended up staying a second night after having checked out earlier in the day, so we stayed in two rooms. Both were large and clean, showers were great, and beds were very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was good, but I have to say I was a little surprised it still concluded at 9:30 on weekend mornings. Didn't cause a problem though. Check-out was easy and again, staff was very friendly.
We are longtime La Quinta guests before the pandemic. Before this one was built and we stayed in the previous one in Jacksonville, Tx. We have always loved La Quintas and stayed in several around Texas. Great bed and plenty of room. AC great. Front desk ladies were very cordial and efficient.
The breakfast was satisfactory. There were no meat, eggs, nor potatoes (we went down to eat at 8:45am).
Staff were very helpful and courteous. I usually stay at this facility when I come through Jacksonville or when I am working on a house in Maydelle.
Great Lady Kim outstanding the best I've had contact with at any hotel or anywhere period. Breakfast girl didn't catch her name but again very very helpful and thoughtful will be bye there again thanks
