The main house was well designed and very comfortable. It was an excellent place for a small group. The hot tub and fire pit were nice too

The cabin had been modernized but did not take out the flare of a rustic cabin. Everything was done very well all the accoutrements or so well described and done. We particularly enjoyed the scenery and the hot tub surrounded by Woods . The owner or management of the property checked in with us to see how things were working for us. The only thing we were a bit surprised were the big ruts for the last 500 ft in the Logging Road up to the cabin. But we went slow and our car managed without any problem. We absolutely are planning on trying to get it this cabin again this fall for a few days of a getaway for us.

Upon arrival for check in, the kid behind counter told me there was no reservation in computer under my name. Asked if I had a different name. I showed him email conformation from Booking.com of my reservation. He stated no rooms were available, and offered no explanation. All he did was stare at computer. We left and got a room at another hotel and had a great weekend. We will not be staying at Hancock Motel in future and don't recommend booking a room here. You just might end up with no room at all when you get there.

I arrive in the evening so I LOVE going to Buddy Lou's for dinner - even open on Sundays. Great music, friendly service, delicious food and wonderful selection of antiques to peruse. And it's only 5 minutes from the hotel, right off 522, easy on/off.

Hancock is a great place for bike riders.
Hancock is a great place for bike riders. The Western Maryland Rail Trail passes through it along with the C & O Canal Towpath. Park & Dine has great blueberry pancakes. Weaver's Family Restaurant has great pies and other desserts.
The room was spotless and breakfast was your basic continental one; pastries, cereal, milk, juice and coffee but was well stocked and the staff was courteous. Would definitely stay here again. A word of caution. There is no elevator to the second floor so if you have mobility issues, be sure to call the hotel directly to request a first floor room. If you have a pet, there is an additional $15.00 pet fee (cash only), due at check-in.
Super 8 is an adequate hotel in Hancock for those biking the C&O Canal Trail and wanting a room and shower. The hotel is close to town and fairly close to restaurants, etc. Rooms are sufficient - nothing special but plenty clean and comfy. Breakfast includes coffee and a granola bar.
The charm of the rooms, pine walls, clean carpet, black out curtains, quiet locations, clean bathrooms and staff were very friendly made this trip a success. Parked right outside the room very nice. This is why I love Motels over Hotels.
The location was convenient for staying while we were biking the GAP/C & O trails. It was very convenient to have a restaurant located directly across road from lodging as we were tired from biking all day.
Location was very close to the family I was visiting. Close to downtown Hancock Maryland. Overall the room was clean; however, the building is very old and needs remodeled.
