The room was lovely. We lit a fire and played records while we relaxed outside on the back patio. The outdoor tub is a nice way to enjoy an evening with a glass of wine from the bar!

The architecture and cleanliness of the Highland Resort was superb. Amazing continental breakfast, the gardens, situated within tall redwood trees, you really felt the escape into the woods. Staff was always pleasant and delivered exceptional hospitality towards all guests. Job Well Done!

Dawn Ranch is lovely - the property is situated in a redwood grove and it is deeply soothing to walk around and see these magnificent giants towering over everything. The cabins are darling; compact and efficient with comfy bedding, terrific towels and spa-quality bathroom products (Le Labo). We took advantage of a last-minute upgrade offer and switched to a meadow-facing chalet. A giant redwood was right outside the window....,maybe 9-10 inches away. We could have touched it if we had opened the window but my fear of mosquitos kept it closed! We ended up canceling our anniversary dinner reservation (which was about 30 minutes away) to instead enjoy the beautiful terrace and exceptional cuisine at The Lodge. Guerneville is compact and charming; we walked to get ice cream and coffee the first afternoon and then borrowed the resort's complimentary bicycles to head over to Baked on the River for a delicious breakfast in their riverside garden. Overall, a terrific getaway right here in the greater Bay Area!

Guerneville is tiny but very welcoming. The abundance of flora and fauna, not to mention towering redwoods makes you feel that you are almost off the grid. If you close your eyes, you can hear all the birds and smell the warmth of millions of square feet of redwood bark. It's heavenly and we will definitely return sometime soon!

Meh….whatever beaches were accessible were closed and hard to find. The Anderson redwood grove is beautiful but not dog friendly for trail hiking. The “tourist info” people didn't even know where to send us for finding a beach….”the next town over maybe?” was their response.

The location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the grounds, How Peaceful it is and one thing I forgot to mention on my review...All the trimmings & Goodies were supplied to roast Smores in the BBQ pit with the oak fire they set up What a Wonderful Treat. It was 4th of July & we had to travel from Humboldt to SF for my 1st Post Op visit after Major surgery & needed to stay overnight due to the long long drive. How pleasant & relaxing it was & to roast marshmallows making Smores was something I haven't done in YEARS . Thoroughly Enjoyed!

Guerneville is a hodge podge of stores, restaurants and other businesses. They do the best with what they've got. Prices have gone up, real estate is soaring, but the growth of the town remains fairly stagnant. It's still a beautiful place surrounded by redwoods with the river close by. There's a lot of trash, unkept houses and people barely getting by. I wish Sonoma would spend more resources on maintaining the streets, etc. We still have many favorite spots to go to all the way out to Duncans Mills.
+ great location in center of Guerneville, very easy to walk around.
+ room was picture accurate, very comfortable, with a bedroom space and a reading space.
+ all well equipped with small fridge, AC perfectly working, windows would open if needed with protection against bugs and mosquitos. Bed was very comfortable.
+ bathroom working perfectly, including soaps and other care products provided.
+ very reliable and fast wifi.
+ great nature environment, great view.
Loved this place! I travel quite a bit and this place has the best host I have had the pleasure to encounter. She builds community and connection with her guests which makes the stay wonderful. The cabin I was in was perfect for me. It was very quiet and peaceful, so you could really come back and unwind after a day of activity. The location offers walking access into Guerneville shopping and restaurants. The property grounds are beautiful as well!
The location was perfect for getting around Guerneville. We were right in town, but also right at the river. Our cabin really had everything we needed – – a nice bathroom and shower, comfortable bed with clean sheets and comforter, and acute little kitchenette. And a brand new community bathroom right next-door.
What a nice hotel, reasonable priced for the region, very friendly staff, good 'basic' breakfast (exactly what I needed, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit), very helpful staff for idea of hikes in the region, a nice fireplace in room, and generally excellent experience.
The location in Guerneville is fantastic. It's near public beaches, wineries and other local attractions. I booked a massage and the massuesse was great. The lobby was attractive and it would be great if the rest of the hotel were updated similarly to the lobby.
Everything, small beautiful amazingly design boutique hotel in the beautiful Russian river area. would love to come back and recommend our friends to stay here for weekend getaway or planed trip in the area. Breakfast was delicious!!
The hotel is on the main road but you go inside and it's a sweet, hidden enclave with great gardens and central public area, cute and private cottages, and a nice breakfast. Very nice and helpful receptionists, too.
Very nice breakfast, cute cabins and good location. Surprisingly quiet for it's location. First visit to Guerneville, the little town wasn't quite what we expected and felt kinda sad.
Naviv was very nice, with great customer service, and made me and my family feel right at home. I will definitely book this place again in the near future. The rooms were clean!!
quiet and comfortable room, nicely appointed common areas inside the lodge and outside, as well.
tasty breakfast and treats
the hosts we kind and informative
This is an old time California river lodge setting. It’s not high luxury. It’s perfect for a weekend on the river. The management is laid back and real.
