Breakfast was in a box, but it was a delicious sandwich. Fresh. The room was beautiful with the sunlight bubble in the bathroom. Decor was beautiful and we liked how they named the rooms and the decor matched. The bed was very comfortable too.

Very nice home. Close to bluff trail. Open floor plan was also nice. Our daughter played the beautiful baby grand piano and the boys liked the small reading room for playing their games.

Very nice place to stay. Beautiful view and Sea Ranch is amazing, The place is small, but comfortable. The furnishing and artwork are not my taste, but not a distraction from the overall beauty.
Love the ocean view, love the scenery of the area.
Love the ocean view, love the scenery of the area. It's not too far for us but enough to feel like a getaway. The bakery and pizza next to the grocery store was great. I would have liked to try more places but we liked staying at our place and saved some $. We did dine at Cove Azul which was nice and Mother's Day brunch at Sea Ranch Lodge was excellent!

Gualala is a beautiful small town on the northern California coast with great fine dining and comfortable lodging. The the is part of what locals have nicknamed the coast's "banana belt" because of its uniquely mild micro-climate. Ocean winds tend to keep the fog offshore, so on days when other coastal areas might be foggy, Gualala often offers sunny skies.

The road to get there was very narrow and took a long time to arrive, it was a long drive for just a weekend… we spent two of our days just going and coming home and only had one day there to enjoy the area… if we go again we would plan more time..

Pleasant little hotel with friendly staff.
Pleasant little hotel with friendly staff. It was really nice that they provided a list of restaurants for the surrounding area, with times and what they served! Just a great find, that I found using Google Maps while planning a route.

Gualala is a beautiful little sleepy town right on the Ocean...
Gualala is a beautiful little sleepy town right on the Ocean. A short drive to the regional park just south of town allows access to a beautiful beach where the river meets the ocean. There are adequate restaurant options within the town of Gualala but not many. Shopping is also minimal. There is very little if any "night life". It's a nice getaway for a coupe nights, but unless you are ok to drive around the area, there isn't much to do right within the town of Gualala. My only real complaint is that there is no walking access to the beach from town, you must drive to the regional park to access the beach.
The location of course is absolutely stunning with an ocean view, our room was also stunning a great size with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We dined at the restaurant and we could not find anything to complain about, we had fish and chips which was scrumptious. All the staff were friendly and obliging. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, if you are in the area you must stay here.
The location. Right a cross the street from the ocean. There is no immediate beach access. But the sunset from my window was awesome. Grocery store and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. And quiet. So peaceful. I called the hotel prior to staying, and the women working was so nice and efficient and familiar with my stay.
As promised it was cozy. Quiet. Private. Very comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with a skylight. Lots of light. Bedroom windows face the meadow and the ocean view. Contentment: Lying on the bed in the late afternoon light, after a good walk at Gualala Point Regional Park. The wind blows outside but you are snug.
The location and value of the rooms at Surf Inn can't be beat! We had an amazing time hanging out by the bluff by the firepit, and the owner/host for the property is incredibly helpful. This place has amazing ocean views. The beds were super comfy as well.
Great location, beautiful. Manager was wonderful. Beds were very comfortable. We were told that the property originally started as one of Motel 6's first location in the 60s, when the price was $6/might.
Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good mattress, dog friendly. Actually it exceeded my expectations. Was near Gualala point regional park and was perfect for what we wanted to do.
This hotel has one of the top views on the Pacific Coast! lots and lots of bird life and even a lone harbor seal in the lagoon below, with 15-foot waves crashing on the beach.
