Country Town N' Suites were a godsend. They helped us exceptionally after a rough nite with another hotel. The desk staff was extremely helpful; the room upgrade they gave us was perfect, and the room was clean, huge, and very comfortable. It had a wonderful balcony overlooking the river. It was a very peaceful stay. It was totally worth the price, which was not expensive at all. It was a short walk to the parkway. The pool was very clean and relaxing. I do not know why anyone would stay anywhere else. This will be our favorite and our always place to stay in Gatlinburg. We live in Knoxville, and we will be telling everyone we know about Country Town N' Suites/ Carr Cottages. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Friendly people , be prepared for what could be an expensive but beautiful area to visit . Some businesses won't let you in for bathroom use without paying for something first like my experience with cici pizza beside my motel the downtown Days inn . I was startled by that treatment and told them that just because they are saying such a thing doesn't make it morally right , then took my little boy somewhere else to eat .

gatlinburg was the most amazing adventure time of me and my children's and family life i have traveled a lot of places in life but this was the best trip ever the view was incredible the food was great water parks was not so pricey we took old time photos theme parks and more i wish we had more time to finish up cause to try everything out you most definitely will need a week vacation lol but me and my family will be back soon

Super easy access to the Natl Park with lots of fun options for night time entertainment and dining. We were there a bit "off season" and there were a lot of people there. I belive it could be severely overcrowded in the middle of summer. Traffic is a bit of a nightmare. Get a hotel in walking distance or use the trolley. The shark tunnel at the aquarium is a must see

The Gatlinburg strip can be a very fun place. Don’t let the crowds overwhelm you. There is something for everyone whether it be restaurants with great food and live entertainment, many candy stores most of which let you watch the candy being made, attractions, mini golf, souvenir shops, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of the FREE trolly rides to get to your destinations rather than the HIGH parking fee in Gatlinburg. Anakeesta, Ober Gatlinburg or the space needle offer you a spectacular view of the mountains. The strip gets VERY hot and muggy in the summer midday, plus everything is prettier at night lit up. The attractions can get pricey so be sure you check for coupons.

Gatlinburg is always a wonderful place to visit. There were lots of tourists, with lots of rudeness and pollution. We saw far more trash on the ground that before. I'm sure the city couldn't keep up with it.
Also, the traffic flow needs to able to run more smoothly. No matter where you went (and we know the backroads), the traffic flow was very slow.

Gatlinburg is nice if you have money and don’t mind walking. Most everything there is overpriced. The lifts to get to attractions is expensive, $92 just to ride a ski lift to get to a small area of attractions and a few shops. Dollywood was the highlight of our trip. Of course it is in Pigeon Forge, about 8 miles. Easy in and out and plenty of rides and eateries.
Located on Gaitlinburg main street, close to everything, and with privatparking on-site, a big bonus in Gaitlinburg.
We had a balcony (with rockingchairs) facing the parkinglot and backside of the main street, and had hoped for less noice, but we had the haunted house just next to us, with a welcom melody with no variation, you quickly grow tired of that.
Rooms are not big, but enough for a coupple of days. Breakfirst was ok.

The Hotel is an older facility, but one that has been remodeled. The room was clean and modern, and the staff was helpful and informative. Having the fireplace in the room was a nice touch and a good option for a rainy and somewhat cold weekend in Gatlinburg with my Wife. The location makes the hotel easily within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg and the "strip" ... Restaurants are close as well as the sky lift and attractions. Supper easy to walk everywhere.
08/2023 - we are family of 5 and first time visiting gatlinburg tennessee(smokey mountain national park) The location , room / hotel, the employees, good nice free breakfast every morning etc..everything was excellent and satisfying. it is a walking distance to every stores/rides etc. car rides close to the entrance of the smokey mountain. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL who would like to visit gatlinburg/smokey national park.
A real lodge feel to this hotel. Our room had a balcony entrance on the parking lot side and a balcony with chairs on the rocky brook side. Pretty good location, just a little removed from all of the buzz of downtown Gatlinburg. This hotel is on two of the free Gatlinburg trolley lines, so you can leave your car at the lodge and ride back and forth in to town.
We really enjoyed our stay at Greystone Lodge on the River. It is very clean, the staff is very friendly, great location we liked the parking garage setup. Liked that there is multiple pillows on the beds as we like more than one pillow a piece. We will definitely stay there again. It is one of the nicer hotels in Gatlinburg. Highly recommended.
Check-in and check out were smooth. The Room was clean and look to have been recently refurbished. Beds were comfortable and clean. Amenities were simple, but fit our needs for this trip. Worth the expense to be in downtown and easy walking distance from everything in Gatlinburg. And we never had problems with parking, which is always great.
I chose Gatlinburg Inn mainly on the location, it is perfectly centered on the strip and next to the sky lift. The Hotel has a nice retro/classic feel to it. A little bit of history behind it. A super friendly staff. My check in was a breeze. Complementary hot breakfast. I will be coming back and I definitely recommend a stay here.
I loved that the property was quiet and peaceful. The hotel is a short walk up the hill from downtown Gatlinburg. It is close, but far enough away to feel relaxing and spacious. The stream outside our balcony was just beautiful. Everything in the room was spotless. The room even SMELLED clean. We would definitely stay here again.
I liked it’s location within walking distance of downtown Gatlinburg. The best view for the creek is the first floor. the third and fourth you won’t see a stream you’d see the massive construction site behind the hotel. luckily we had a lower level 1st floor room. the hotel snack and food bar was good food.
Good location. Comfortable and clean bed. We travel to Gatlinburg mainly to hike and eat the great quality of foods offered in the area. The cottage we were in was right on the river, and we liked the scenery a lot. Other than that, bathroom was clean and the place was overall convenient.
The location couldn’t have been better. Steps away from the trolley stop, Ripley’s Aquarium, the main strip in Gatlinburg and River Road. River Road is a great option to bypass the crowds on the strip, and has some hidden gems that might be missed if you stick to the main road.
The hotel sits on the river however, the balcony looks at the street. The bed was comfortable and the hotel is out of all the main foot traffic of downtown gatlinburg, however within walking distance.

This hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of Gatlinburg and you can walk from the hotel to everything downtown. Free parking was also a plus.
