The travel company we had pre-booked our day tour to Yosemite with, cancelled the tour. The reception staff at the hotel provided contact information for local cab services. Thanks to them, we were able to visit Yosemite.

For the price, this motel was exactly as expected. It was in a great location with Walmart directly next door and many food shops in the area, including Denny's within walking distance. We stayed here as a stop over to Yosemite and it worked well. We left at 6.30am and it was only a one hour drive to Yosemite. The check-in was easy and quick and the parking is within a gated parking lot which was reasurring considering that there are many homeless people hanging around this area. We needed extra towels as we were staying with 3 people and the room was only stocked for 2 people. There was no issue getting extras.

My daughter and I, and her 4 grandchildren, ages 6, 7, 8 & 12 drove from Bakersfield to Fresno to visit the Zoo and go to Playland which is across from the zoo. I highly recommend both. It was extremely hot on the two days we were there, but the kids really had a great time, and that is what matters.

Not too much to do in the area. We actually went to Yosemite National Park & was staying at Angel's Camp. We flew into Fresno; had an early morning flight so stayed in Fresno the night before we left.

I stayed at the Fairfield for the first time. When I was going to arrive early I called the property and they said my room was all ready and I could come in anytime. That was great because I was going to have surgery and I had no idea when I be able to arrive. This hotel very close to where I was having surgery. There’s restaurants very close. The hotel lobby was clean. They had breakfast. My room was very nice and clean. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip.

I’m never going back to Fresno!
I’m never going back to Fresno! They should level the whole place and start fresh. Especially the tower district. Actually since I’m never going back, let’s move all the homeless people there. The crappy roads won’t be a problem, for people pushing a grocery cart or riding a bike.

Fresno has more to offer than many from outside the area...
Fresno has more to offer than many from outside the area realize. From this location you can access the mountains and Yosemite, get a sense of California’s breadbasket, go shopping and experience many types of restaurants, worthwhile if you are visiting from a less populated areas, buy a car, and any other activities not listed here.

Lots to see and do.
Lots to see and do. The zoo was a great place, but there were a lot of animals missing. There was a Japanese garden that was simply amazing! Lots of shopping and tons of food choices! If you're into cigars there are a number of good lounges to visit. Too many one-way streets for my liking. But using a navigation app really makes it pretty easy to get around.
Very comfy stay in a nice big room. Very helpful and friendly staff who explained the layout of the hotel and the best place to park for our room location. Appreciated the fridge as we were on a roadtrip and had food with us in a cool bag. Had a nice bath too after a long drive from Yosemite. Good location to break up the drive from Yosemite to Vegas, we chose Fresno because of its better vegan options than smaller towns.
We had a “directors suite”. It was quite spacious, but furniture very simple. The airconditioning worked well. Bed was very comfy. Shower was the best I had in the past 2 weeks in motels/hotels in this price range. Also the staff was very friendly. So, despite the “negative” points below, good value for the money!
Simple, clean and updated facilities. Very handy having a fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast was simple- some
eggs, sausage and potatoes along with usual toast and cereals. Plenty of parking available when we visited. Great location for travelling through Fresno.
