You want to stay in SANDESTIN in Miramar Beach just East of Destin. Destin proper is not as refined and relaxing as Sandestin. Destin is too cliché touristy and younger busy and older community looking. Sandestin is classier yet not stuffy. Just East of Sandestin is the beautiful town of Santa Rosa Beach that is ritzy and gorgeous and has a beautiful beach nearby called Blue Mountain Beach. Santa Rosa Beach also has some excellent restaurants also with nice views of the Gulf.

Love Destin.
Love Destin. The beautiful white beaches and the clear water you just can not beat. There is plenty to do from mini golf, go carts, swimming with the dolphins, MY FAV. THE SHOPPING, and Wonderful restaurants and food. This will be our forever Vaca yearly.. Definitely try Mcguires Irish pub the best steak I've ever eaten, AJ's on the bay is a perfect lunch stop and we all know the famous Donut Hole for breakfast...

I was told because we booked thru booking.com we were put in a cheap room. I overpaid for my weekend and we only stayed one night. The room were we’re in was not even close to what was shown in the photos! Never again!!

Destin is a beautiful area for families The beach is clean and the sand is soft and white. There are so many things to do in the area. Driving is a bit of a hassle, but the rental of a golf cart looked like a smart idea. We ate at Fat Clemenza's and the Surf Hut. Both were excellent for the food and the ambiance. We also ate at Fudpuckers, but once we were seated, it took forever to be served our food. There was plenty to do while we waited for a table, but the kitchen was very slow.

My husband and I came for our babymoon in February. It was cool - but coming from the NorthEast Winter, it was exactly the escape we needed. We spent almost everyday walking around the resort, visiting the swimming pools (The main pool was heated which was great for taking a dip, and the Market Street pool was perfect for sunbathing in remote quiet), and biked several times around the entire resort and to the beach. The biking paths were our favorite aspect of the resort - we saw so many beautiful views and renting the bikes was easy! The food at Baytowne Wharf was perhaps some of the best eats we've ever had and the bay and beach sunsets should NOT be missed!

Nice sandy beach. Possible to hire chairs and a parasol but very expensive! Close to shops and restaurants. Would have liked to visit the Turtle Conservation center but it was closed when we were in Destin so we visited Fort Pickens instead
It is among a pretty congested area, but it still has a nice atmosphere. The roads nearby make most places a bit loud anyway. It is Destin, and it entertains a lot of folks, so it is to be expected. Sitting by the pool is relaxing, and the room is great. For the price, I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, and then there was the breakfast I had read about. The selection is large, and the staff is happy to help. Public beach access is close. I will look for this hotel again.
I stayed at the Hyatr Place Sandestin for my birthday. They decorated my room and I felt so special and loved. I loved the pool veiw from my room. I loved the location as well. The pool was awesome. The staff was very nice and welcoming. I had happy hour at the hotel 2 nights from 5pm to 7pm. The wings are delicious. The hotel is close to shops and the beach. A quick 5 min Uber ride. I had a great 4 days here. I will definitely return.
Pretty close drive to main attractions in Destin. Customer service was very good. Got extra sheets and towels right away when I called the front desk. Could not hear guests in other rooms so I would say it's quiet but I'm not sure if anyone was actually checked in in any neighboring rooms. The room was clean and did not smell like the hallways fortunately. Was really nice to have a full fridge in the room instead of just a mini fridge.
Newer hotel with great breakfast options for the whole family. Indoor pool and outdoor pool. 24 hour tea and coffee available (free) as well as snacks offered for reasonable pricing. Easy room access using key or phone app. Best of all a short walk across the road to the Henderson Beach State Park. Beautiful white sand beaches! Or drive over to spend the day. Walkers $2; carload $6. Plenty of parking and restrooms!
The hotel was in a great location and close to many restaurants. It is also close to Harbor Walk Village which is a popular destination. The man on the breakfast staff was pleasant and inviting. They served waffles (make your own), eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal (assorted), yogurt, milk, juice, coffee, oatmeal, and bagels. It was convenient and the price point was great for the area.
We love the espresso machine in the room. Staff very friendly. The hotel is walking distance to the Wharf.
The rooftop pool was also very nice!! NO complaint, we always go back to this hotel whenever we are going to Sandestin..
