By mistake I reserved a smoking room (we are non-smokers) and the lady at the reception was super nice and helpful and moved us to a different room free of charge. The room was clean and quite comfortable.

We should have stayed in Farmington, where there are more restaurants. I chose Bloomfield because it looked like a convenient place to stay after visiting Chaco Culture National Historical Park.
However, because we were in Bloomfield and looking for something to do, we asked at our hotel for a recommendation. We went to the Wines of the San Juan tasting room in Blanco and had a lovely time in a relaxing setting before then driving to Farmington for dinner.
