Good location, could walk to downtown. Breakfast offered many options. I skip the usual continental breakfast at a economic hotel, but this had waffles, eggs, potatoes and sausages in addition to cereal, bread, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Also loved the late check-out of 11am!

I loved the funky vibe. It was a very different place from where I have stayed before, but it was fun and clean and comfortable!

Bishop is a small town that offers a bunch of outdoor recreation. We mainly go for the rock climbing in the area. It is also a great stop if you're headed to Mammoth, June Lake, Yosemite, etc. from the south. It's more or less our home away from home. Due to the small nature of the town, it's very easy to meet locals that you could possibly see on your next visit, and it's easy to get around and to know which spots to get gas and food from. For food, we recommend the taco truck (Taqueria mi Guadalajara), Indiego, and Erick Schat's. For climbing gear, my favorite would be the mammoth gear exchange.

We just stayed for the night on our way out of Yosemite NP. Hard to comment with that limited stay. Getting to the City is easy if you love Sierra mountains. You need a taxi. I would explore Bishop more in future. Nice access point to Sierra.

Bishop is a wonderful place for outdoor activities pretty much anytime of year. I had passed through town many times and finally had the opportunity to to spend a week. I barely scratched the surface of this small town. I would start the day at Pupfish Cafe or Black Sheep Coffee Roasters for coffee and a light breakfast. Spellbinder Books was definitely worth a visit as I found a few books to add to my traveling collection. There are off-road and hiking trails all around the surrounding area, with plenty of camping and fishing opportunities as well. The Laws Railroad Museum is a surprising treat.

Always a good stay with friendly staff and simple...
Always a good stay with friendly staff and simple accommodations that are sufficient to get a good night rest and also make friendships. Super convenient and clean. I would suggest they add a compost bin to their trash and recycling bin area.
The attendance at front desk was very nice and friendly. However the hotel room was not clean at all. Towels looked dirty, floor was very dirty. The small fridge smelled funny and was dirty, as well as the microwave. The worst was the heater / air conditioning unit, as soon as we turned it on it smelled like burning and the smoke detector went off. Did not want to go through the trouble of telling the staff. But luckily was not cold. Overall just dirty room , expected better from the reviews online. Would not book again.
The location of this hotel, on 395, in the center of Bishop is great. We were able to walk to dinner (Whiskey Grill), coffee (Looney Bean) and bread (Schatt's) in the morning. The parking situation considering our open trailer was suitable and they were able to accommodate us with a room where we could keep an eye on the car and trailer.
The renovated hotel feels modern, clean and well-maintained.
First of all, the interior and exterior of hotel are very beatiful and cozy. It has a pretty garden too. The facility is very convienient! Breakfast is free. Location is the best! Next to the hotel there is a very famous bakery and a wonderful city park apposite it.
The room and bed were exceptional for the price. The room had a nice sitting area next to the bed. A coffee maker was provided with coffee. The bed was comfortable compared to other motels/hotels. The room was very clean with nice bathroom countertops.
Internet was reasonably good, room was mostly clean, bed was mostly comfortable. Parking was easy, room easy and quick to access. Close proximity to Bishop and to mountains. Check-in fast, staff friendly.
Both our private room and the shared facilities were clean and comfortable. My kids enjoyed the outdoor spaces. I liked that it felt like we had more privacy than we would at a traditional hotel or motel.
The air conditioner worked well, although it was noisy, cycling between low and high. The refrigerator and microwave worked well. The location was convenient to Schaat's Bakery and Bishop City Park.
Great location, walking distance from bakeries, bars & restaurants in Bishop. The room was comfortable and quiet. The online check-in and room code system was convenient.
Quaint motel, close to the center of town, within walking distance to everything. WiFi was weak but who needs WiFi when in Bishop? Overall very comfortable…
The room was amazing and huge and super comfy! Central to main part of Bishop. Easy parking. Comfy beds, nice table and chairs. Huge sink /vanity area.
