The river park was very pretty. We went on a Kern river festival day ( Not like a UK festival so don’t expect much) people were friendly! Lots of big shopping complexes. Some food joints in the area we stayed but to get a decent meal you would need to drive. We were just passing through so didn’t get a chance to see any of the nature reserve that was close by.

Bakersfield is a good stopping off point enroute to somewhere else - not too far from the southern Sierras or Los Angeles - but there is literally nothing to do *in* Bakersfield unless one is a country music history fan, and it suffers from terrible air pollution and punishing heat much of the year.

Never choose these lodgings again. Hope is greater than expectations. I had hoped I would fine a joyous birthday. I was meet with disaster. I ordered a steak that was sinewy and grissle. Seasoned as an amateur and grilled like a novice. As a chef I resiant this worthless attempt at making and offering a presentable meal. Same on his/her talents. shame for letting the quality of your brand fall low. I am only one but one that is never more.

Sometimes the cheap hotels in this area are roach infested or have a bunch of loiters. The rain kept the loiters away and I didn't find a single roach so this was a fortunate departure from my normal AirBNB choice; which was booked for my stay.
This hotel has exceeded my expectations. I love that the floors aren't carpeted, spacious rooms, clean, and modern design. Very nice!!! And did I say CLEAN!!! My classmates and I travel to Bakersfield once a week for school. We've had such a terrible experience with other hotels in the area. Most are just plain filthy. Im so happy to have found this gem. We'll be coming here from now on.

We did our laundry in the locked guest laundry room. Everything went completely uncomplicated. 30 min. for washing, another 30 min. for drying. Got soap at the front desk.
Continental Breakfast with Waffles and everything was good standard for America.
Everything was perfect and way beyond our expectations. Michael and Rhonda gave us many helpful tips for our stay (in and outside of Bakersfield). The apartment is simply amazing and much attention was paid to the smallest details. We definitely recommend this place and make sure to visit it again when coming back to Southern California.
The room was large and the bed really comfortable. The hotel is in a cluster of other hotels off the main highway so perfect for our onward journey. It has a restaurant so we didn’t have to go and find one when we arrived late. Plus good pancakes for breakfast. Staff all very friendly.
The hotel is very close to the freeway, with easy access, and also within walking distance of a number of restaurants. The room itself was exceptionally clean and well-appointed. The front side of the hotel that we were on was shielded from freeway noise.
More of a motel than a hotel but perfectly adequate for a stopover. Room size good and bed comfortable (good towels too which isn't always the case!). Breakfast basic but fine, kids will enjoy small pool. Staff friendly and helpful, onsite parking easy.
This place is located in an excellent location with at least over 10 food choices, and several gas stations close by. Free way is less than a mile from the hotel. Comfortable rooms, string wifi. Check in is easy, fast, and professional.
Ideal place to stay over night when moving from Vegas to the west coast. Good quality hotel with decent value for money ratio. We liked the room standards, wide breakfast options incl. nice breakfast facility and the pool area.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean, wonderful room, bed and pillows were the best I've ever had in a hotel which means I slept well. The room was quiet even as close to the main highway as it is. Definitely will book again.
