Beautiful historic hotel! Love the grand design of this hotel. Rooms are beautiful, large, unique, high ceilings and very comfortable. Enjoyed the hotel restaurant also.
I always enjoy staying in memorable places and enjoyed this hotel as it was a rather a surprise to find it in little Baker City. Well worth stopping for a night, or two here.
Also really appreciate that this hotel welcomes pets/ small dogs. My pup enjoyed it and all the attention he got!

I was a little apprehensive about the Rodeway at first as it was the cheapest lodging available when I made my reservation. My concerns weren't alleviated when I first pulled into the parking lot to see a classic mid-century motel, so much so that I asked to see the room before I checked in. However, the room was quiet, clean and comfortable and I had a pleasant night's sleep. The property is well maintained and the staff were very friendly. Just goes to show you can't judge a book by the cover.

Front desk staff were very personable and helpful. Great recommendations for dinner. Location of the motel is good. It was very quiet, easy access and a nice walk to downtown stores and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable with a nice tile shower. (We did stay in one of the remodeled rooms). We will more than likely stay here again if we make another overnight trip to Baker City. Breakfast included eggs, pancakes and bacon. Coffee, milk and juice as well as most things found at every "continental" breakfasts.

Unfortunately run down street-front motel, granted the room had been renovated.
Disliked the run down Camping sites in the back and side of the Motel.
Pictures on site gave much better impression than reality.
Sorry !

There are several good restaurants in the downtown area of the city which is not right next to the Interstate. We especially enjoyed eating at Barley Brown's Brew Pub for the drinks, menu and service.

A wonderful and friendly small town in beautiful Eastern Oregon. Historic Baker City is wonderfully well kept, and is filled with great historic buildings on the usual very wide streets that these old cattle towns have. Baker City is filled with unusual civic art, including a wonderful rotating selection of sculpture. There are good restaurants including our favorite, Barley Browns Brewery and Restaurant. There are wonderful views of mountain peaks. This is a great place to base your visit to Eastern OR. Lodgings are limited here so be sure to plan ahead.

Baker City is a great old western town. People are amazing. Sadly we didn't have enough time to explore Baker City but it looked quaint. If you go, walk the neighourhoods, great classic brick house and well maintain areas.

The location was fine, we could walk to stores and restaurants. The facility is old, needs some help, no hot water in the AM, ( we did have hot water in the PM). No grab handles in the bathroom for our 92 year old father. All in all was fine for asker City I suppose, not worth the price however. The Truck Stop restaurant was a pleasant surprise! Excellent food!

Baker City is a small old western town mainly serving the ranch and agricultural area. It has some charming historical houses and buildings, a cool old hotel, the Geisler Grand and a nice main street with several good restaurants and pubs. Don't miss going to Sweet Wive, a most excellent bakery/cafe.
Also an excellent kitchen supply store and book store, several antique stores and a wine place as well.
There are a couple of museums and it is a jump off place to visit National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.
A nice motel next to the Interstate for our one night stop over in Baker City. The room was comfortable and clean.
In the afternoon when we arrived we visited the Baker Heritage museum which cost around $8 admission and was well worth it with some fascinating displays about the Oregon trail.
Later we we drove to the historic downtown Baker City where there are a few restaurants and ate in the Main Event Sports bar where I had the best Cobb salad ever.
We didn't use the pool area but it looked very well maintained and pretty.
This was the absolut surprise on our trip through Oregon…
Hotel and staff just wonderful but the restaurant was exceeding everything 👍
Amazing food presented by an extraordinary chef cook. Best steak we ever had ( in years!!) and a homemade Bolognese with fresh herbs … original Italian.
Service was outstanding, the waitress was the friendliest person and very dedicated to her job.
Hopefully everyone gets the chance to stop by and meet this wonderful place to be and to meet and talk to the chef 😊
Were to start!!! Easy to locate. Was extremely close to Safeway's, Dollar Tree stores. and food establishments. Was 3 blokes from my destination in the morning. Had a wonderful experience with host. easy payment and the door had a code to unlock door. great price for the whole house. The house had all the basic things needed for a stay. My Mom and I come to Baker City at least twice a year for our Masonic group. This is so my first pick of places to stay is it's possible from now on!
The interior and exterior of the hotel are magnificent. Immaculately maintained. High ceilings. Ample rooms. A library. Most importantly, there was always someone available at the front desk and the staff there were knowledgeable about the hotel and surroundings. The staff was helpful and courteous. The staff was efficient. Truly one of the best stays we’ve had in our 30 years of traveling worldwide at a very reasonable cost. Exceptional!
I booked online from my Reno Hotel and I had problems but the staff made sure I had a room and that there was only one charge. They did a great job assisting me. I loved it that the motel was affordable, close to the freeway and easy to get into town. Thank you so much.
Returning home from winter vacation. Several days on the road. Arrived late. Hotel quite, receptionist very friendly and helpful. She was very helpful and our room was very nice. It was clean and quiet. A great view of the valley.
This facility was ok for Baker City, the location was fine, we were having a small Family gathering for our 92 year old father. The PM receptionist was great, very helpful and knowledgeable, helped us with the TV.
Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. This hotel is a great value for the money. The location was great for what I needed. The staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. I will definitely stay here again.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. For an old hotel, the room was clean. LOVED opening the back window to look at the Powder River. The location is very convenient for exploring the area.
