Although it’s a very large property, we loved the personal atmosphere and ultra relaxing, comfortable and lovely rooms and facilities. We were surprised that our room offered a full, compact kitchen with kitchen amenities. It was a wonderful touch that really helped us feel at home! The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room layout and lighting was so lovely. We were surprised by how nice everything was and would love to stay here again! Also, the jacuzzi is really hot which is great!

Very friendly reception staff. Good size room. Small balcony. Pool looked good but was too cold to get in unfortunately. Good for highway access and walking into Capitola. Breakfast ok but too much disposable plastic etc.

I went to Aptos for one night to attend an anniversary party. I have visited the area several times and never found it very appealing as it is very crowded, traffic can be horrendous, and the public beaches that are easily accessible are not very beautiful. I much prefer Monterey or Half Moon Bay or Northern California area beaches for scenic beauty. The party was held at Bittersweet Bistro in Aptos, however, which is a restaurant I do highly recommend if you go to Aptos, the food was wonderful!

Beautiful grounds and beach.
Beautiful grounds and beach. Fresh, clean and well decorated and appointed room. Ocean view is spectacular. We didn’t use them although the resort has 3 pools and several outdoor fire pits. Shore birds galore. Soothing sound of the surf from our patio. Warm fireplace in the room added to its appeal. Kitchen went unused although it is well appointed including glasses, tableware, and utensils. Kitchen table seats four.

I liked Aptos. There are some good restaurants and the people when I went to town were observing the correct protocol . The Swallow is a great dinner restaurant. When I return I'll be looking for a great place to stay...

Aptos is a nice location to vacation or spend a weekend.
Aptos is a nice location to vacation or spend a weekend. The beaches are nice with lifeguards in many locations. The weather was perfect during our recent visit. The restaurants were very busy and we were unable to get a reservation for dinner on Friday night. I attributed that to Covid restrictions on the number of guests allowed. Due to the popularity of this area, the traffic can be quite heavy at times. All things considered, it is still one of our favorite areas to visit.

Aptos is just fine. Just don't use Booking.com. Booking.com overpriced the stay for a substandard accomodations. Avoid Booking.com at any cost. It seems there are many rentals available in Capitola near the water.

My family and I stay in Santa Cruz a lot for the kids. We decided to give aptos a try since it’s a short drive to the boardwalk. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Very clean rooms the staff were great. The restaurant Severinos was the winner. Great food and our waiter Cavan saw my family multiple times a day dining in. Cavan was great and made our visits outstanding. The pool was clean and a good size for families. All said this will be our main hotel when we go visit Santa Cruz now. Not crowded, plenty of parking, great staff and very good rates.
