Abbottstown is a nice, quaint town near Gettysburg.
Abbottstown is a nice, quaint town near Gettysburg. We stayed there in the Altland House for a more relaxing stay from the hustle and bustle of Gettysburg. We were able to relax in the bar downstairs that had live entertainment and excellent food. We visited Gettysburg the following day (25 minutes from Abbottstown). It was perfect.
The hotel is on a roundabout and above a restaurant which was confusing at first but really cool as we could grab dinner with drinks and then walk up to our beautiful and nicely air conditioned historical room (double bed). If I’m back at Gettysburg, I’ll be staying here again!
This quaint and beautiful hotel was absolutely perfect in all ways. The employees were super nice, the room was great, the bed comfortable, bathroom super clean. I can't say enough nice things about this place.
