Very good breakfast considered that it s included in the price. Location is a bit outside of the city but if you like to walk or experience Marshrutka (n. 7) you can easily reach the city center. Very nice playground for kids, pool in summer and other games. (Playstation). Possibility to have lunch or dinner at the restaurant with very convenient prices (compared to EU countries) and tasty food.

Second time staying here, lovely place! Absolutely charming and helpful staff.
Contrary to the review of “TALIT” ; the place is not a “dated building” , it’s part of the concept , the food at the restaurant is beyond delicious (paid restaurant), how can you comment on something that is given for FREE? This place is not a 5 start hotel obviously, but you are not paying for it either , IBI* budget anywhere in EU cost 59€ at the cheapest price and you still have to pay separately for everything else food parking etc. To compare Charda with any other hotel is simply unfair. It’s 40€ what you are paying here , literally the price of a pension or cheap hostel in Europe. IF you want a modern hotel there are plenty in Ukraine , clearly not for 40 euros a night.
This place is GREAT value for what you are paying, this is an objective review.

Nice and and beautiful city in Transcarpatia just next to Slovakian border.
A little crowded due to many internal refugees but doesnt feel bad. You don't notice war. City has a lot of history an interesting castle and a lot of restaurants with local great wines and splendid regional food.

to pass the border...the passport control is very problematic..take lot of time because the Hungarian side is..not helpful..
next to the hotel there is great local restaurant . very recommended.

A very interesting Ukrainian city, with a strong Hungarian heritage. The castle and attached outdoor walking museum are always interesting to visit. There's a small, but lovely historical city centre, and a great river walk. There's a number of nice parks. What I enjoy about Uzhorod, is that it is a very walkable city. It's not necessarily jam packed with museums, and other such tourist attractions, but it has a great atmosphere, and lots of good restaurants. I live in Ukraine, and have made Uzhorod my summer vacation spot. I highly recommend a visit.

The best part is the river-side walking path with lots of trees and benches. Downtown walking district is also nice with some cafes, and you also need to visit the local market with ladies from neighboring villages selling their own handmade products, vegetables, milk, etc.

Nice laid back city, with harmonious mix of city life and nature. Not so much Ukrainian atmosphere, since the Carpathian mountains separate Uzghorod from the rest of the country.
By the way, great Hungarian restaurant opposite the castle (only when the male chef is cooking) with quiet terrace during evening hours in summertime.
Travelling to the rest of the country is only possible via Lviv and Kyiv. This should be considered. If you like travelling by car; beautiful scenery. If you travel by train; it will take you many hours through beautiful landscape.
Host was very helpful. She waited for my wife to arrive (it was her travelling, not me) up to nine thirty p.m. Since hotel is somewhat tricky to find, she even sent an assistant to find us and guide us to the hotel.
Next morning the hotel driver took my wife to the train station for an equivalent of less than 2 euros. That was great!
It is a decent, albeit somewhat overpriced, hotel in the heart of Uzhhorod. The room was big enough for one, quiet and air-conditioned, and the bed was comfortable and with many pillows. I met several foreigners there during my stay, which is a sure sign that it is a safe place and meets certain standards - one of the best in town.
Breakfast was great.
There was a balcony. River is very, very close. There's a lot of birds on the river, we've seen 2 species of herons, a grey heron and small white heron, which I personally like so so much. I recommend staying in this hotel, it's cheap for this kind of place.
Everytime we're in Uzhhorod we stay here. It's a beautiful hotel right in the center of everything, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the rooms and standards are completely western and first class for an incredibly fair price.
Location was good, as it is a short drive to old town in Uzhhorod. It is also within walking distance. If I put more than 45 minutes into a walk, I may have made it to the train station. Apartment is maybe a year old.
Close to the northern Užhorod bus terminal, it's easy to find the hotel, staff is friendly room is clean, bathroom is nice and tidy, while a little higher water pressure in the shower would be welcome, ngl.
I had a large group come to Uzhhorod for a conference. The staff was more than accommodating with my additions and subtractions to the numbers and needs. They were professional, pleasant and very helpful.
Good location: the hotel is about 7 min walk to city Center, but at the same time in quiet place. Breakfast has few options, all were delicious. Friendly staff. Very clean room and cleaning was every day.

Very nice hotel near Ukraine/Slovakia border crossing. Best location to spend the night if you are driving to Europe. Restaurant there is also amazing, very much recommended
