We didn't spend much time here, but easy flight from Istanbul. Convenient for the balloon rides, but not directly in the town they fly from. A preferable location if you want a little more peace and quiet, and enough choices for dining. Lovely to walk around and spectacular views from many parts.

Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of Cappadocia. Our stay at La Casa offered the perfect mix of cave/building and was in a great location. The breakfast was excellent. The close by Janti Cafe is also excellent, highly recommend. One thing to note is that google gets a bit confused with the one way streets, but once you get the hang of navigating in Uchisar, it is very easy to get around and you can see the castle from many of the nearby hiking areas.

It worked great for us. We had a rental and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Goreme. If you don't have a car and are staying in Cappadocia for the first time, perhaps Uchisar is not the best option since it will limit your walking distance options of restaurants, shops and tour agencies, we loved it though and found it to be the perfect homebase to explore the region. It seems like some of the more exclusive hotels and restaurants are also in Uchisar so it depends on what works best for you.

Small town area next to the rock castle. Quiet, with lots of restaurants. The top of the mountain has more shops and art galleries to see along with cafes. Once you step out of the area it is mostly desolated and filled with caves. There is lots of new construction going on in the peripheral area. We ate at the statehouse around our hotel and it was great. A bit expensive but gourmet like treatment. The open air museum is only 10 min away and the castle is right in the center of Uchisar. Slightly away from the crowd of Goreme, Uchisar was just right. The property was close to the castle which made it convenient. The pigeon valley entrance is a km on foot so makes for a great walk. Personally between Goreme and Uchisar, I preferred Uchisar as it's quieter and had more luxe options. Also the views were amazing and we spent quite a bit of time sitting in the terrace taking in the country air.

Uchisar is an incredible small town with a beautiful medieval section that is wonderfully thriving. Clean, friendly, with laid back dogs roaming the streets, and the home of Uchisar castle. Pigeon Valley has its own mystique and overall the town touches something inside of you that makes you want to stay longer.
Great location and view over the valley. Very friendly staff. Nicely decorated room with direct access to balcony. Really appreciated that staff tried to make it as private as possible as other guests are able to access the balcony. They serve delicious Zen Herb Tea. The menu offers lots of choice but there are other good options located close by. From the hotel you can enjoy a short hike up the Uçhisar Kalesi (Castle), the highest viewpoint in Cappadocia. The city offers beautiful streets with lots of shops, restaurants and cafes.
I would like to first of all thank the hotel staff , they were amazing , helpful , attentive, and incredibly friendly.
I contacted the hotel prior to my arrival and asked for their assistance in setting up our room and terrace for a romantic proposal, one the biggest moments in ones life .
The staff at Taskonaklar did an amazing job in setting everything up for my big day! I couldn’t have asked for more.
If you’re considering their hotel , I promise you won’t be disappointed, it’s a great place to make memories in Cappadocia.

The tallest hill in Cappadoccia is Uchisar and at the top is this beautiful hotel with amazing views and spectacular breakfast. This will make your visit to Cappadoccia so memorable. Like the grand canyon, you need to see this place that is much more spectacular than even the most impressive photographs. Staff was amazing and very helpful. The restaurant connected to the hotel also had a very delicious menu. The included breakfast was superb and you will absolutely be full afterwards. Loved my room, was a bit cold but I was provided with a heater to make my stay more comfortable. The view of Uchisar Castle is literally a few steps from your room door and you can also take a short walk to the castle to see the balloons at sunrise. Loved this hotel!

Amazing hospitality and excellent conversation with the owner of this Boutique Hotel. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and forthcoming. I got my booking done for Balloon flight, and Green tour through them for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this place for a small family!
The location is amazing. We chose the room with a balcony we could have Uchişar castel as landscape scenery and we could watch the baloon departure every morning. The hotel's restaurant is definitely one of the best in Uçhisar and the breakfast is wonderful. All the employees are very nice and helpful. I would recommend it if you want a peaceful place to enjoy Cappadocia. The room is comfortable and provides what is needed.
This is a new hotel and they are setting the standard in Uchisar. The staff go above and beyond - Mustafa and Hasan provide excellent customer service and can assist with anything you need. We stayed in one of the cave suites which offers a unique experience. Also excellent breakfast setting looking out over the valleys. I love the decoration of the room. We stayed in Orchid room for 2 nights. it's beautiful, cosy and clean. The owner and the staff are very attentive. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Uchisar is a lovely town. You can see Uchisar Castle and panoramic view of the town from the hotel. We didnt see any balloon due to the weather condition, we still had a wonderful time. Cappadocia in winter is kinda magical!
Uçhisar is THE best place to stay in the Cappadocia area and this hotel sits above the famous Museum Hotel and shares the same great views across the valley. All the staff are excellent particularly Mehmet on the front desk. Breakfast was huge and one of the best I had anywhere in Turkey. All the rooms are great but I chose a cave room to get the authentic experience.

Location is perfect. İt is beside the uçhisar castle. When you are having your breakfast you can enjoy the castles view. Breakfast is good. We visited at the time of snowing and worry about the hotel is cold. But it was too hot. We stayed family room. İt was comfortable, cozy and hot.

Kistar Cave Hotel is located in Uçhisar which is a smaller and quieter area than the bustling tourist area of Göreme. It offers fabulous views, amazing rooms, and a staff that will take great care of you. The array of homemade dishes served for breakfast each morning is impressive. A wonderful place to stay.
The welcoming at the hotel was wonderful. Everyone who works there (and that I had the pleasure to meet) is very friendly, respectful, efficient and well-organized. They helped me with everything: booking a tour, transfers and pick-ups (airport and hotel,) where to go and what to do while in Uçhisar.
