As it was my partners first time around the area, we choose to eat out for lunch & breakfast so cannot comment on restaurant but we got breakfast as room service and it was more than enough topped up with fruits.

It was not easy to get around Izmir as there were not signs in English. And there were not booklets in English for tourists to be well oriented in the city.
We enjoyed the boat trip and walked along the seaside.

So many things to see on day trips from the area: Ephesus, Pamukkale and Hieropolis, Cesme, etc. What's left of old part of town is worth a visit as are the remains of the ancient Greco-Roman town (though a lot is currently closed off). Much of the city by the water is 'new' because of the destruction of the 1922 fire, which is sad. But a great experience overall (even the taxi drivers are nice and honest, and the weather was much better than in Istanbul). Definitely want to go back.

Konak area is good for tourist and close to Clock Tower and Kemeralti carsi. Kardiyaka is very good are to see , you can go eith tram or ferry. Also very interesting part is Dario Moreno street where you have very nice bars and nightlife. At the end you can rich with elevator to the top restaurant with magnificent view of the city.
It was very easy to reach the hotel from the airport because the metro station is very close to the hotel. The guy at the reception was very nice, he offered us water to not go to buy it in the evening when we arrived in Izmir, and also he helped us to reach the station to go to Cesme. If you need to leave your luggages at the hotel, don't worry, they have a luggage room for this. The room was exactly like the photo, very clean, a/c good working and very nice. The breakfast was good, and varied.
Overall, it was a nice stay.
The staff were rally friendly and helpful, organising to park our car using their carpark lift and taking us to our rooms (we were two couples). The rooms were a good size and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The staff recommended somewhere to eat for lunch, which was delicious and good value. We liked the location in the middle of Izmir.
The breakfast was a large buffet, with an excellent selection.
Overall, we were really happy with this hotel and would definitely stay again.
It is an absolutely wonderful and perfectly located hotel, with hospitable and accommodating staff! Amazing! Thank you soo much for such an amazing holiday, that I could have and fully enjoy thanks to you! Recommend anyone, visiting Izmir!
The hotel has a perfect location, in the heart of Izmir, by the seaside. Perfectly communicated with the rest of the city, thanks to nearby tramways and ship trams. Close to the big bazaar, Ataturk Museum, plenty of restos and cafes - I will come back definitely!
I lived here for two weeks. This is a great place especially if you are visiting Izmir for the first time. The rooms are cozy and clean. The location is excellent, in the very center of Alsancak, not far from the promenade and the sea.
But the best part is the people who work here. I have not met such kind people for a long time. Very special thanks goes to Erkut. I am very glad that I chose this hotel.
The guy at the Reception (unfortunately I don´t know his name) was very helpful and knows a lot about the city and transportation
Best breakfast in Turkey, we were really surprised by the variety and quality. Amazing selection of olives and cheeses, they even have a beehive with honey
The hotel has a prime location near the Basane metro/rail station and also a short walk to the bazaar in Izmir
The cubby beds with curtains are great for privacy and sleep if you are not a night owl / party person.
The location is great for exploring Izmir. Go to the bakery next door for some delicious boyoz.
The terrace is beautiful.
Breakfast is by donation, and is one of the better breakfasts I’ve had at all the places I’ve stayed in Turkey. I appreciated the ample vegetable dishes!
Visited Izmir for work and had the weekend prior to my meeting the hotel was ideally situated.
The rooms were very comfortable though not really suited for work no desk. The room is provided with a rolling table next to the bed.
Staff went out of their way to make sure my trip was pleasant. Managed to do all my laundry even though it was a weekend which is no mean feat nowadays!
We were in İzmir for a few days and wanted to stay in Alsancak this time. From there we used the ferry boat and the metro. Thanks to the good reviews, we decided to stay at the Hay Hotel. We were satisfied and felt safe. You can only get into the room with the room card via the elevator. The breakfast was sufficient and we liked it. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.
Fabulous small hotel centrally located in excellent part of Izmir and near to the many facilities at the sea. The room with side window and views on level 6 was very good quality and comfort with openable windows and effective heating. On the roof top is a fabulous sun platform and outdoor pool and restaurant with city and sea views.
The breakfast is fabulous,
th hotel is very nice, with specific design. the staff is super friendly and ready to help. i personally liked the location as it is some meters away from Izmir Korfez where you can walk and enjoy sea breeze and sun , but if you don’t like loud places then you better find smth else as the hotel is on the very lively boulevard
Key hotel is probably the best city hotel in Izmir in most aspects. The design of the rooms and the hotel is fabulous. Personnel is very kind and helpful. We especially booked a room with a sea view and the sunset was awesome. Definitely suggest this place if you gonna stay in the city.
The hotel and facilities are truly 5 Star. The room was spacious, well appointed and quiet. The common areas, restaurant and Spa are well presented with very friendly and helpful staff.
We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The service was excellent, including breakfast. We really liked the location of the hotel - near the sea and in a pleasant neighborhood. We would choose this hotel again on a next stay in Izmir.
It was an fair stay. The breakfast was satisfactory, although it was not rich and the area is not safe and nice to walk, but if you have a car, the location of the hotel is convenient because it is close to the ring road of Izmir.
I dont know why this hotel has a 3 star rating. It should at least be 3.5 stars. Very nice hotel, friendly staff that takes care of your requests promptly.
The breakfast was good and they never charged for any water bottles
I haven't stayed in such a beautiful concept hotel for a long time. Great architecture, great rooms, great restaurant and very friendly staff. It will be the only hotel I will stay in Izmir from now on. Just perfect i luvit.
Amazing view, clean, modern, large jacuzzi, nice breakfast. Simple reception. It is the only branch in Turkey and honestly saying it does compete with big hotel names.
