We loved Bodrum. It had everything we wanted/needed. Sunshine, beaches, clear blue water, markets, history, excursions, great food and lovely people. It is a little more expensive than I thought it would be for food and drinks etc. but still had the best holiday.
Some recommendations-
Fast rent a moped for moped rental were great. Easy and no deposit required.

Very flat, lots of shops,bars and restaurants all within walking distance. Beach is not for sunbathing. Shop around as prices vary on all things. Old town and new town very different so see both and visit the castle. Taxis are reasonable if you need one.

People are very friendly and they make sure you have a great time.
the food is fresh and tasty, just you need to make sure you check the prices first as some places are a bit expensive.

Very lively city by sea with lovely private beaches and boat trips galore on offer.
Abundance of shops selling mostly designer copies but be wary: shops in Gumbet centre are cheaper whereas shops in Bodrum centre are much dearer but so is the quality of products much more improved.
Seafood is widely available here so enjoy it fresh. Restaurant called Korfez was our favourite: delicious grilled meats, salads with efficient service and reasonable prices.

We stayed in Bodrum and Istanbul. We really enjoyed Bodrum and found the shopping better than in Istanbul. More variety of items. Our most favorite excursion was the Gulet day trip. Beautiful blue sea.

Very beautiful and charming city. It looks like a mix of history from Roman empire to old ottoman era. Iconic castle and fortress at the end of the city. Nice and old fashioned local shopping mall. Excellent beach with a lots of water activities.
The staff are very helpful and friendly, they can help you with anything you need, the hotel is quite old, if you're used to 5 starts hotels you won't be comfortable here, good value for money and quiet clean, 5 minutes walk from the noisy streets, so it was perfect, as renting a hotel in the busy street would be very noisy if you sleep before 3 in the morning 😁

I really enjoyed my short stay at Merih Butik. My room was lovely with probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in Turkey. The situation is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the beach and shops, but nice and quiet at night. Jen is a great host, welcoming and looking after her guests very well. I really enjoyed talking with her. This will definitely be my hotel of choice when I stay in Bodrum town in future.
The hotel was perfectly located to Bodrum centre and easily accessible to surrounding areas. The staff went out of their way to be welcoming, friendly and helpful - they were armed with information to ensure our stay was amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool was welcome given the heat wave and a nice bonus to have a Turkish breakfast included in the cost.

Location was fantastic, just 1 minute walk and you are on the beach and street of Bar’s.
The house is fully equipped and you have everything you might need and also it was super clean.

The breakfast was very good, it was outdoor on the beach where the view was amazing. The staff (reception, golf car drivers, breakfast staff, beach boys) were very cooperative, helpful, attentive. The beach area was very nice, water activities office in the same hotel beach. The hotel is family friendly. I loved our stay, I will repeat it and recommend it.
I was immediately upgraded to a wonderful room with a beautiful view. The room was spacious and very nicely laid out. It all flowed towards the balcony with a lovely view. There was also a complimentary bottle of wine and snack plstter..

The hotel is in a location that can be easily reached by car from Bodrum centre. I can say that it is the hotel with the most beautiful coast in the Güvercinlik region. When you wake up in the morning, the sea is right under your feet. My friends and I have already made 4 separate reservations for the summer.
The price ratio is ok. For an all inclusive, the hotel is ok. It is a maximum 3 star hotel, a little bit old, but still clean.
Also the personell is ok, they work very hard and are helpfull.
The food was ok, and if you're not very pretencious, than it is enough. Also the sweet, cakes are amazing.

This a family run Boutique homely Hotel and very close to the centre of Bodrum - About 3 mins walk to the main shopping road along the waterfront. Garden was a nice peaceful place. Staff (family) helped with access , baggage and to guide us personally to paid parking area
The location is perfect it’s easy to go to the city centre just by walking, the food is of good quality and delicious, the staff are incredibly polite and they make you feel really welcomed. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience the Bodrum feeling.
The value for the money, the location, and the hotel staff (especially Khan(?)) are great. The breakfast has a very wide selection of fresh foods and fruits. Easy, short walk to bodrum beach bars and restaurants and Bodrum Castle.
I took my mum for her birthday, this hotel was a great choice. She really appreciated the historical part as well as the fact that there is beautiful flowers all around. I personally enjoyed the big pool and the all inclusive.
The host was extremely helpful when we ended up at the wrong hotel. He paid the taxi to get our luggage. Water was offered upon arrival. The bathroom was not clean. The details were ignored in cleaning.
This hotel room was right in the main area but thankfully back from the road so very quiet at night, which is what I wanted. It was clean with a spacious bathroom.
