The hotel is very near to the bus terminal, so it's a great option for staying the night if you're coming from Bangkok on a bus and have a ferry to catch the next day. We got a tuk tuk at around 8pm right after deboarding the bus, and it cost us THB 60! There's a seven eleven within walking distance which is open 24/7, so you can always get some groceries, packaged food if you're in the rush. There are several outdoor eateries open late at night but sadly they lack vegan options, though you can veganize various dishes if you're okay with 98-99% vegan food. Seven eleven does have quite a lot of vegan items though, so you can manage dinner/breakfast.

Clean, great location, friendly staff. The property manager took time to talk about the town, places to eat and told me about the special NYE fair in town.

Laid back small town with plenty of interesting choices for food. Very welcoming people, nice and smiling. There's perhaps not much to do in the evenings, but during daytime you can walk around discovering traditional Thai food and snacks at very affordable prices. On Saturday afternoon and evening there's a very popular and nice street market. The small lake or water reservoir features a great sunset view and a walkway all around the perimeter.

Check your location.
Check your location. The road can be very difficult even for good, experienced drivers. Parts are very steep and narrow with sharp bends and you need to use first gear in places. No mention of this in the adverts and another time we would use local transport as they are used to the conditions and know the roads, especially dangerous when dark and always dark after 6pm so be aware! Very nice beaches and food and some areas have beach entertainment with a live fire show in the evenings. Plenty of activities, we enjoyed kayaking on the beach. There are viewpoints marked for excellent photos. Would like to stay longer next time.

Great guest house, but id recomend more than one night ( which people usually do before hitting the islands). Trat is a lovely old traditional Thai town, with lovely old buildings and super friendly locals, how Thailand used to be before mass tourism.

Trat is a very interesting town with lots of surprising history. The lake side area is very pretty, and the museum is really good. the town is very confusing to get around and very few eating and drinking places. It's quite industrial and unfortuately our hotel (Trat City Hotel, which was very nice indeed), but way out of town. Very few tuk tuks or taxis and too far to walk to the town and night markets. We hired a motor bike for the one full day we had in Trat. our hotels' restaurant 'Harprs' was excellent but the only one around so no choice for our 2 nights. We enjoyed our stay but not memorable....we won't return to Trat on our next trip.

Low key provincial town.
Low key provincial town. Not set up for tourists, and absolutely no hustlers. Great local market, nice back streets. Locals are really into exercise, and it was great fun to wander around at sunset and see all the activity! To be recommended as a stopover for stocking up before or after going to the islands.
The place indeed feels like home. It's dead quiet and you can hear all the birds and nature around, a few good food options within 15-20 minutes walk. Owner arranged us a pick up from Trat airport and it was a perfect stay before the morning ferry to Koh Mak.
We stayed at the concrete villa because I was a bit afraid of the mosquitos in the wooden one, but I don't think it's the problem. The whole area seems to be pretty mosquito free.
AC was a bit loud, but worked well and the room was clean.
The location is relaxing and picturesque. The road in front of the accommodation is not busy, and is mainly used by cyclists. The property was nicely decorated. Beds were firm but comfortable with plenty of pillows and good quality bedding. It was nice to have good quality shower cream and shampoo. The breakfast was the standard offerings in Thailand. i.e. American breakfast and fried rice etc. but was good. Overall a very nice place to stay and I would happily return.
This place is a gem. Truly a wonderful place to stay in an area with few options for hotels. We spent one night prior to taking the ferry to Koh Chang. Rooms are spacious and clean. Owners really go out of their way to make you comfortable as ensure all your needs are met. They arranged food for us upon arrival. And breakfast the next morning was wonderful. Also arranged taxi service do the ferry terminal. The service is really impeccable.
Kaew is an exceptional host! She takes great care of her guests and will guide you with really good recommendations of restaurant, spa, taxi, etc. The hotel is ideally located, in the heart of Trat and in a very quiet street. The rooms are very nice, clean with a cozy and careful decoration, we can only recommend spending a night or more!
Starting our trip to go to the islands at Rimklong Hotel was a real pleasure! Thank you so much.
A lovely little hotel by a river in Trat. Walking distance from the street market selling basically everything. And also the very good history of the province museum.
The hotel rooms were spacious with beautiful polished wooden floors. Balconies to sit out on and watch the river. Very helpful staff and a decent breakfast
Loved it - and great value for money
We were on our way to Koh Kood, this was the perfect place to stay!
Tuu was very friendly, hotel was super clean, very nicely designed, centrally located and beautiful. If you are in Trat, you should stay here!
Bonus was the Saturday night market on the street outside when we arrived, amazing surprise!
This was a small clean hotel in a convenient location close to the amenities and street market. My room had everything you need but without a doubt the best part of this was the manager/ owner , Tuu . Not only was he very helpful but he has the kindest most generous spirit.
I really love the location and feeling of this guest house! You can hear so many birds singing and the guest house is on a cute side alley so it feels very peaceful and the perfect spot to stay in Trat so as to take a moment to breath and chill. 😎
Was as the picture shows. Best coffee and breakfast really good. We used the pool and walked on walkway around the dam. Staff amazing and got around room ready as soon as possible as we arrived early
Value, location (near markets, city pillar shrine, river walkway and community and Trat museum), staff Jum and Derek are knowledgeable about travelling in Trat, the lovely garden, the suite’s balcony
Room was clean & comfortable. Lovely pool & centrally located to shops & market. Staff very friendly & helpful. Cafe on site. Very nice hotel & priced extremely well priced. Will stay again!
Beautiful location, a little quieter than some of the other hotels as it’s further along the beach and out of town. Has lots of character but still solid, clean and practical.
