We were very pleasently surprised by this hotel. The facilities are a little older, but very well maintained. The staff is very nice, and really helpful. The food in the restaurant is excellent. We only stayed for one night, but did manage to enjoy the wonderful pool. The rooms are huge, and really nice.

The hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Chumphon, at walking distance from the train station.
I was very much impressed by the helpfulness of the hotel staff!! I forgot some documents in my room when I checked out and noticed this only when I was already in the train to Hat Yai. I could not travel back due to the train timetable in place. A very helpful conductor called the hotel on my behalf and explained my situation. It was then agreed that the hotel would take my document folder to the Chumphon train station from where it would be sent by a night train to Hat Yai train station. And this worked out perfectly: I got back my documents the next morning in Hat Yai. A BIG "THANK YOU" to everybody involved but especially to the very helpful hotel staff!!!!

A nice little hotel. I have stayed here in the past when passing through. The staff are quite nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and tidy. The beach is just across the road in front of the hotel, and there are options for food nearby. It is nice to be able to park my car right outside the room.

A little bit disappointed to be misled on the name of the Hotel - its nothing to do with the real "Travelodge" chain, and the rooms are no where near the Travelodge standard. It carries the sign outside, but has a different name in the reception area.
If you put that aside, you are getting a renovated older hotel in a very quiet part of the City. The rooms were clean, and the shower & bedding quite acceptable. There is a huge area for parking outside and its relatively safe being as access is through a "tunnel" into what can be described as a courtyard.
Check-in was a fraught affair as there was nobody on reception ... I called the number displayed, and didn't understand a word, so ended up walking behind the counter and taking a key for the closest room, which I presume the owner was trying to tell me from my poor understanding of his Thai. He did turn up 5 min later and seem OK with my actions, sort of !
Location is poor, with nothing at all in the area, with nearest bars/restaurant being a good 2-3 km away, the other side of the railway tracks.

Our stay in Chumphon was exactly as we anticipated, our reason for visiting was to stay at fisherman’s home stay, which was superb, we stayed an extra night in the town to catch an early morning train to Trang, this allowed us to witness the people of Chumphon setting up the food markets at 03.00 in the morning, brilliant.

Great place! Great street food night market and shopping centres. We went to De Rust pub for dinner and watched a band one night. We really enjoyed our short time in Chumphon. Definitely make the trip to the viewpoint around 15mins outside of Chumphon, Definitely worth visiting!

Only there overnight with my wife and three year old grandson. Yet I had to book two rooms because they couldn't or wouldn't cater for the child.
No one in the reception until 08.00 am, the main gate was locked and although we had planned an early start (driving to Phuket) we had to wait for the receptionist to arrive.
The property cant be described has a hotel, two rows of rooms Nd the location is poor.
There will not be another visit and I would certainly not recommend to your readers.

People are not that used to seeing western tourists, very little English spoken. Though those that do speak English are keen to practice.
Restaurants were limited as were bars (due to covid).
Ate in a local restaurant. Friendly ladies. Food all came out at different times (rice first, before the meat/fish dishes).
Quite dark around the streets at night. We felt safe, but needed a torch.

I went to Chumphon for a city trip (rather than islands and snorkling which the city is famous for). The overall experience is good. There are not so many places for you to visit in the Chumphon city and vicinity area. But there are many adventurous places around the province (which require driving time up to 2 hrs in some places). Worth to visit anyway :D
A small cozy and comfortable family run hotel, surrounded by a peaceful green environment.
The rooms are spacious, new, exceptionally clean and tidy, equipped with lots of useful amenities (a practical rod to hang clothes, kettle, coffee, hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel, tv, a minibar filled with soft drinks and beer, mama noodles and snacks). Our room had a comfortable porch and a small balcony at the back). The bar opposite the rooms specializes in craft beer. The owners are young and very pleasant.
The staff is incredible!!! I have never met anyone friendlier than Khun Luna. She is super cute and helpful, arranges everything for you.
She speaks so many languages! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, who wants to stay in a quiet area.
You have the possibility to rent a motorbike, she arranges a transfer from her hotel to the pier for you, if you take a boat.

The grounds are gorgeous, even more than the pictures, as is the location. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area by bike and also took out a kayak.
The villa was super cute. My son loved the the upper floor and the high ceiling made the room more spacious.
The staff was super nice. In general, people in Chumphon were very welcoming. Chumphon was a lovely surprise. We wished we had stayed a bit longer.
Also, the coffee was yummy :).
Magic House in Chumphon is a serene gem nestled conveniently next to the Koh Tao pier. With its beachfront location, it offers a tranquil escape. The staff's exceptional hospitality shines through as they promptly assisted us, even going the extra mile to return a forgotten charger to our home in Chiang Mai. Impressive service coupled with a peaceful ambiance makes this hotel a standout choice.
We stayed here for one night as we were taking the Lomprayah ferry to Koh Tao the next day. It was a perfect stay. The tents are actually quite spacious with a clean, detached bathroom. There's a nice garden vibe all around the property and you can walk to the beach in a minute. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced. We were very happy!
The grounds are amazing! The lodging is right on the river where people collect fishing nets at night with lanterns. It’s like a magical river garden hotel. It’s quiet and away from action but perfect if that’s what you’re looking for. Next time we will stay longer. Also, it was walking distance from a night market with tasty eats!

With my deal(around 800b), it was great cost performance (maybe because entrance was on road construction blocking the access). Away from chumphon center, this hotel has resort atmosphere.
Location is just off the main highway for those travelling further north or south into Thailand. Front desk lady was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, rooms are large with covered parking right in front. Snacks and coffee available for free at reception area.
Wonderful location and gorgeous room and bathroom: spacious,light, clean and airy. We loved the beach, the food, the breakfast and everyone was kind. We could also take our dog for an extra 1000 baht charge and we are always grateful for pet friendly hotels.
Chumphon is a very small town with not much to do. Very glad we chose this property because it had a great pool . Cade on site for food. Our place the family room was a great size and really loved that it had 2 bathrooms.Ac was also very nice.
