Great hotel, fantastic welcoming and smiley staff who went above and beyond. Location is on a busy main road do not the idyllic island life we were hoping but a great location to visit the elephant Sanctuary. Visited 20+ years ago to the island and it’s changed so much and very westernised so sadly taken the soul out of the island,

I wouldn't go back.
I was so disappointed by Koh Samui, I thought it was a nice place to go but aside from beautiful beaches and the views from the mountains, its really rough and run down.
Chaweng itself is like Magaluf. The strip is awful. But if you like that then you'd probably like it but not being a drinker or a partier I really hated it.
We did however eat at some really great restaurants all over Koh Samui

It is beautiful, wonderful, crystal clear, turquoise water. Do NOT let the reviews that say that this beach is "busy, loud, too crowded" deter you from coming. We were here in January-February during peak season and it was perfect! Never too crowded and never too empty. Perfect in my experience, I would come back. I did not prefer nor enjoy Lamai beach (supposed to be better, but I disagree).

Pretty big town for Samui.
Pretty big town for Samui. Lots to see, especially inland a bit where the market is, and the grittier streets. The area by the beach is all gated resorts and a bit bland/international. However, there's a real Thai town in Chaweng if you look beyond the resorts, and it's far more interesting.

Excellent location for the price, easy access to town and several attractions. We took a Song Taew to Wat Plailam for 150 Baht and walked to Big Bhuda Temple. Then took a taxi 200 baht to Fisherman Village. We had dinner at the Coco Tams Restaurant, it is little pricy but the atmosphere was fabulous, watched the Fire Show on the beach beside the restaurant.
Staffs at the Chaweng Noi Pool and Villa were very helpful and courteous.

Beautiful beach which is quieter and more relaxing than the main Chaweng beach. For relaxation and enjoying a leisurely dip in the sea and a snorkel, Chaweng Noi hits the spot, with crystal clear water and spotting an array of tropical marine fish and crabs.
There is not much in terms of choices of restaurants or bars therefore it is better to go into Chaweng or Lamai for more choice for food and drink - this is easily done by using NaviGo or hailing a taxi/hop on hop off red truck from the main road. There is a nice bistro bar which does good happy hour drinks but the mains were pretty mediocre, though the prices were pretty good - the chicken satay there is delicious!

An exceptional Hotel. Beautiful grounds that are well maintained. Staff and management kind, courteous and helpful. Very nice beach area. The breakfasts were so nice. An all round great experience. I personally would highly recommend Samui bayview Resort.
The Hotel is really near one beach, and you can find some restaurants near. The price it´s good. In the first floor of the hotel you can find a cafe where you can have breakfast. The hotel it´s old, but it was clean.
