Had a lovely stay at Popradske pleso. The tourist room was comfortable, there was a cotton towel on each bed but the highlight was definitely the breakfast. Amazing selection, nice coffee and the location is just wonderful

I was up in the mountains so didn't see much of the towns. I got the little train up from Stary Smokoviec and went for shopping in Strbske Pleso. Neither town appeals to me but Popradske Pleso is gorgeous. One of my favourite places in the Tatras.

Every morning, I woke up to breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, which were often shrouded in mist, creating an ethereal atmosphere. The fresh air and cool temperatures made hiking and outdoor activities a real treat.

A beautiful village at the foot of the Tatras by a beautiful lake. In the vicinity of the ski slope, many trails for walking and cycling. There are several hotels, restaurants and shops by the lake. An ideal place for a few-day trip, both in winter and summer.

Great trails, both half-day or full day, from moderate to slightly challenging (especially for anyone with mobility issues). Skok waterfall trail is terrific. Jamske Pleso trail is flatter and less rough, but we did see a common viper on the trail and fresh bear poo!
The trail around Strbske Pleso lake itself is very enjoyable and scenic.
Furkotka restaurant (opposite Hotel Toliar) and Koliba Patria restaurant overlooking the lake we're terrific value and lovely food. Lary Fary cafe was a nice midday stop-off too, lovely hot chocolate and tea.

Strbske pleso itself is too touristy and developed.
Strbske pleso itself is too touristy and developed. The real value of this location is all the hiking that's possible in the area. The nature here is stunning. An easy one hour hike will take you to another lake called Popradske pleso and a further 90 minute hike (a bit more difficult) from there will take you to the largest lake Velke Hincovo pleso. That area is beautiful. It looks like something from The Lord of the Rings. There is also a great restaurant in Strbske pleso called Furkotka with great food and service.

This was our second stay. Deluxe apartments are spacy, well equipped, with nice view facing Solisko (although both rooms we stayed in (405 and 303) are facing the same direction, 405 has a slightly better view - especially from the bed where you see these beautiful mountains right when you open your eyes). Reception staff was very helpful and I really appreciate their attitude when we raised very specific parking requirements (lowered car). Great intimate wellness with 3 types of sauna and hot tube (paid extra).
Amazing view at the lake and a hotel of a kind. Compared to other sleeping places on top of mountains probably super luxurious, me as a hostel city backpacker did find quite a few things not as expected.
Breakfast is ok, limited in fruits but everything you need for filling up before hiking. Very nice Terrasse and amazing staff from the kitchen / bar. Super nice vibe there. Showers and rooms were always clean. They provide a drying room which was amazing with unstable weather.
Very good hotel at an excellent location - it was pleasure to come back after several visits in my childhood in the 1980s. Some parts are still exist from that era, but it's not a problem, better an advantage. Deluxe rooms are modern and spacious with breathtaking view. Breakfast was excellent, you can choose a daily buffet-dinner daily if you want. The wellness section is very comfortable. My favourite hotel in the High-Tatras.
Private apartment in a newly renovated residential block. It overexceeded our expectations regarding comfort and size. Really spacious, well equipped with everything you need, and modern. Very suitable for families with babies: we had a cot and even a baby feeding chair. It's not exactly by the lake but a 15 min walk away from Strbské pleso itself - from the map it seemed a bit closer but overall it wasn't an issue.
We went hiking in the area during spring time, so we just spent 1 night here. I would choose it again. We could reach main hiking routes in 5 minutes. Staff was nice. Hotel has its own parking lot, so we did not need to pay for parking in the main town parking lot. There is a small supermarket right next to the hotel, so it is easy to buy anything you would need during holidays.
The hotel is well located, few minutes walking distance from the train station. Our apartmant was quit, nothing has disturbed our sleep. There is a free dedicated parking place under the building. The wellness is great, 2 saunas, 1 steam room, 1 big jacuzzi with several lounging beds. The kitchen is well equipped. The fireplace remote control can be asked at the reception.
A modernized panoramic hotel between the lake and the train station (Zubačka), right next to the hotel is a supermarket with basic food, fruit, vegetables, drinks and also souvenirs. Varied and rich breakfast, always fresh pastries (salty and sweet), plenty of food even before 10:00. Luxurious view (6th floor) of the High and Low Tatras. Excellent price/performance ratio.
Excellent customer service and communication from booking till check-out. Host was really kind and friendly. We loved the views from our window! Room was tidy and comfortable, warm enough. Bathroom is modern, clean, amenities are better than most hotels. Breakfast was rich and tasty with numerous options. We definitely return here if we visit Strbske pleso again.
Comparing with other hotels Hotel Panorama Resort has huge rooms. We had a standard room and the baby cart easily fitted, not disturbing at all. There was enough space for our baby for playing in the room, not mentioning the well-equiped room for children. Hotel staff was kind and helpfull. Breakfast was various, food was always refilled on time.
Very cozy and comfortable apartment! Super clean, warm, convinient. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Very convenient check-in and check-out. Convenient location of the hotel, there is a spa in the hotel, near a supermarket, ski bus. Super friendly owner!
Comfy & clean place with eco natural design & excellent location for exploring High Tatras. Enjoying morning coffee with magnificent mountain panorama including view of Krivan during sunrise was simply divine. Definitely place to come back.
Located just next to the Štrbské Pleso train station, the bed was extremely comfortable to sleep in. The receptionist was really helpful and spoke English very well. Overall, a very lovely stay in a room with wonderful views of Low Tatras.
Excellent location and the most caring and lovely staff! Also recommend staying in for an a la carte dinner directly at the hotel or taking a short walk to “Koliba Patria” both exceeded expectations when it comes to food and service!
Exceptionally clean. Beautiful panorama over mountains nearby; it's a full private apartment but still sharing all the facilities and comfort of the hotel panorama.
This is a great apartment in the small ski village of Štrbské Pleso. We enjoyed our stay here. It’s very centrally located and the apartment is well furnished.
Good location for trekking in the High Tatras, staff were very nice and helpful. The room and toilets were clean, food in the hotel restaurant was quite good.
Even the accomodation was really simple, it was clean and comfortable, close to ski lift. Food served in main hotel bulding, was perfectly cooked and tasty.
