Excellent location just a couple minutes walk from the east side of the lake. Shops and restaurants on the doorstep, bus station 10 minutes walk. The room and hotel were spotlessly clean. Very comfy mattress. The pool and outdoor sunbathing area were great - these were the main reasons I booked the hotel, so that I could enjoy the sunshine on my last 2 days in Slovenia. A great selection of food at breakfast. Pastries very tasty, coffee was okay.

We really loved the pizza place that was just down the street and the breakfast at Old Parish House. We also enjoyed biking around the lake and rowing out to the island. It's also very close to the castle with the path just off the parking lot. My daughter visited Old Parish House in the winter a few years ago and she rode a horse around the path and said that was amazing. My husband had been there almost 30 years ago and said it was much more touristry in the area of the lake where he had stayed previously. Fortunately the area where Old Parish House is was not like that. It was very easy to get around by walking but we took the car to go to the Visitor Center and get the free rental bikes.

While the town of Bled was very busy with travelers, the surrounding nature was exquisite! Walking around Lake Bled, visiting Vintgar Gorge, and all the wonderful hikes in the Lake Bohinj area - just spectacular. We also found that every meal we had was a good one, if a little on the pricier side.

Just a beautiful location, worth the effort to get there. Did the gorge walk which was absolutely amazing and again, well worth the effort. Of course, you have to pay for everything which put us off doing some attraction (seen one castle in Europe you’ve seen them all sort of thing) but we’d definitely go again

I would definitely avoid high season as the word seems to have spread about its beauty! They are planning a new road which will hopefully help in a few years.
It’s a place we have love and returned to regularly for nearly 20 years! Beautiful in winter too.

Stunning view. Several hikes available around the lake. Good as a base for day-trips. But day-trips require a car (except for Vintgar Corge which is accessible by a convenient shuttle). Highly recommended.
The hotel exceeded our expectations - Super cosy, exceptionally clean, fantastic room with a brilliant bathroom (great air con, smart tv and fridge), very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful location and surroundings, awsome facilities including an indoor 'self service'' bar, outdoor table tennis and workout area and small swimming pool. Bikes were available to hire and the hotel was a 15 minute ride into the centre of Bled and the lake, or 5 minutes in the car (there was also ample free parking). All in all, outstanding!
The hotel was incredibly clean and the room very comfortable; plenty of space, comfortable bed, and everything was in new condition. We especially enjoyed having a glass of wine while watching the sun set from the balcony. Gaining access to our room was easy; the hosts were very responsive to messages via Booking.com. The hotel is in walking distance of Lake Bled and there are plently of good restaurants nearby - we highly recommend the Old Cellar just around the block from the Villa Special!
Absolutely amazing from Checkin through checkout. The hotel is beautiful. Pics on booking.com don’t even begin to show the beauty! The room was modern and charming and perfect for our family for 4. We even had views of the lake from our room. The restaurant was SO good! We had the best dinner of our entire vacation! Breakfast was included and also amazing! It had everything you could possibly want! The staff is beyond nice and accommodating! We had the best time at this hotel!
We stayed at Hotel Lovec for a week last year and had such a great time in Lake Bled and Slovenia that we booked again. The hotel is great - fantastic breakfast, friendly and helpful staff and a nice pool. One morning they had run out of hot chocolate for breakfast and they offered to go and get some for the children. The front desk was also really helpful with my elderly mother. Would highly recommend, it is a great place to base yourself.
The hotel is in the best location on Bled, with the most amazing view, friendly and very helpful staff. The rooms are in an excellent condition, kept very clean and very tidy. The pool on the fifth floor is extremely clean and offers the most amazing views of the Bled lake. The bird song in the morning while watching the lake is so relaxing. The whole family loved our stay at this hotel and we'll gladly return here.
We really had to wait up to 15 hours to check in. Maybe it would be possible even earlier. The advantage was the hotel parking lot and bicycle storage. The breakfasts at the hotel were absolutely excellent. We also tried the hotel restaurant and can only recommend it. From the point of view of the location of the hotel, it's perfect - with a view of the lake, the island and Bled Castle.

The Hotel location is very good! it´s easy to get to places around, u can just walk to bled lake less than 2mins, restaurants, souvenirs and hair salon it´s just right downstairs of ur hotel. The Staff is Superb! they are really helpful and they could help u make reservations in restaurants and activities they provided in the hotel. Definitely Recommend this Hotel.
The proprietors were super friendly, focused on us having the best experiences and went beyond to make sure we were knowledgeable with the local surroundings. Exceptional hotel to stay in for our family. The room was so spacious, beautiful and comfortable. We had an amazing view and balcony looking out over Lake Bled. Great location; 5 min walk to lake Bled and 45 min drive to Ljubljana. I would definitely come back to Vila Ula La when visiting Slovenia another time.
Very good hotel 5-min walk from Bled lake. Yes, the rooms are not very modern, but not old though, all working well. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast really nice, and they gave us free access to the pool on both check-in and check-out dates. Parking right next to the hotel.
