I liked the location. The staff were friendly. The photos on booking.com suggested something that wasn't really there. I can't remember exactly what was said at the check in but the check out was interesting. The reception desk was closed. We left the keys in the room. It was easy enough but unexpected and relied on us guessing the process.
The hotel was good, no complaints but as I said, not what I expected given the photos. Other times when I have stayed in old hotels, there is an element of the old-world charm and facilities. This was lacking but there was nothing really wrong with the hotel itself, it was simply my expectation based on what I saw in booking.com.

The town was quite cultural, with its huge and historically significant castle, and outdoor museum of wooden buildings - but the indoor museum is currently undergoing a year long refurbishment and so inaccessible. The town is also quite pretty, particularly along the river. For shoppers there is a good selection of stores, as well as cafes and restaurants. Like all of Sweden it will be found expensive by non Scandinavians. We arrived by rail, which is a good way to travel, though the station is a little way from the town centre.

Örebro is a charming little town that could easily be done in a day. There are at most three attractions to really see in the city. Nevertheless, if you want to get away from Stockholm or Uppsala, it is perfect. You will enjoy walking around the city and its parks.

Örebro is a very beautiful, nice and cosy city.
Örebro is a very beautiful, nice and cosy city. Just enjoyed walking for hours in it's streets and explore! There are a lot of attractions - impressive castle with great history and ducks enjoying tourists company, stunning gothic cathedral Olaus Petri kyrka with it's old graveyard, green Stadsparken (by Svarton river) full of flowers and lovely places to relax, Wadkoping Open Air Museum with it's atmospere of old days, lovely butics with souvenirs and coffe shops, famous water tower Svampen looks like a giant white mushroom, and just nice city streets with friendly people... whole lotta things to photograph!
Many local buses - around the city and the surrounding area - which are convenient to move around. Hemkop on Fredsgatan is good place to buy food; in Pressbyrån one can buy not only food and magazines, but bus tickets as well.
Absolutely great city to spend a week and relax! Got the best experiences and strong intention to come back next year!
The room was spacious, well-furnished, and clean. The bed was particularly comfortable, which made for a restful night’s sleep. The staff was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. Prompt room service and helpful concierge were notable. The hotels location was convenient, which made it easy to explore the area without too much time commuting. The room provided stunning views of the surrounding landscape, and the meals provided by the hotel were delicious.
This is not the first Scandic hotel that I’m staying in, but it is by far the best one. The shared areas are great, the design is exceptional, the staff are very friendly and the rooms have a familiar design, but are just newer and better in every aspect.
The bathroom is big and the temperature in the room is very comfortable. The views are also great – you can see the sunset and the sunrise directly from your panoramic windows.
Staying alot in hotels and also plenty over nights at various Scandic. Breakfast at Scandic is always very good but I never such a good structure, one of the best layouts I ever seen. All Kudos to the person responsible for bfast.
While booking hotel I knew we needed a space to crash for a night and for the price I paid, it was decent place I have got. The room were clean enough and cozy with basic amenties
