Perfect little hotel, "Kulturmärkt" which means they can't change a lot of the house since it's protected.
The breakfast is really good (love the waffles) and abundant.
The rooms are old style with birds nest windows but the ambiance on the surrounding makes the perfect.
The bed is soft and cosy.
The restaurant itself is worth a visit alone, the quality on the food is up there next to any classier and fancier and more expensive restaurants in the big cities.
The chef tries to use the local and also the season ingrediants and they turn out delicious food for modest prices.
The staff is friendly and attentive to keep you happy and satisfied, while you are there get to know a little bit of the history of the place that started in the way back in the 400 and from roughly 1000 it started it's form up until 1900 when it sort of had it's last major reconstruction.
It has a lot of historical connections to both royalty and to the church.
I can really recommend the place if not for the food itself.
Try the Toast skagen, The Bookmaker or their speciality Stjarneskud... perfect with a beer or two.
Nice and quiet surrounding but still close to the main road without it is disturbing the peace.
They also have a sauna and a barrel tub.

Situated in Götene, Mysig 1a med Minispa, 20 min från Kinnekulle is a recently renovated accommodation, 37 km from Skövde Arena and 30 km from Mariestad Train Station.
Nice little town. Interesting walks around. Unfortunately was visiting in winter, so not everything was available to see.
Planning to come once again. Want to walk to the Castle and take an old railway to/from Skara. Also enjoy SPA.
Please take into account that hotel has several buildings/smaller hotels. If you want to live right by the SPA, you should find out which rooms are in the SPA building.

We found that the room, especially the bathroom was below...
We found that the room, especially the bathroom was below expectation, both dated and not super clean. Food and breakfast OK but the restaurant was not so nice to sit in. Again it felt dated and very warm and stale air. We didn’t feel it was value for money at all.
Breakfast menue. Well sorted. Good size, for every taste. Eggs, cheese, ham, coffee, tea, juice, bread in different sorts. Dogs are welcome. 300 SEK for the cleaning. A nice parc around the hotel with lights in the night. Perfect for a dog walk. Friendly personal.
Very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choisies and charming breakfast area. Very good value for your money.
