Sulina is one must-go-to place in the Danube delta not only because its location on the Danube banks and a few kilometers from the Black sea, but because its position to the Letea forest reserve - which was an amazing surprise to me and my family. Not the forest per se, but the wild horses in the reserve vicinity. Once you get here (actually this is why we chose Sulina over other Danube delta villages) you should not lose the opportunity to buy this 6-7 hours trip on the Danube's channels AND to the Letea "hill" (which is not a hill at all, just a steppe). The trip to that place is full of beauty and surprises and a must-see once in a lifetime. Then, the history of this - unfortunately - "forgotten" small city is very interesting and if you are lucky to meet a good guide, you cannot but sip their every word.
Oh, DO NOT skip the traditional lunch in a peasant's place, "in the middle of nowhere": nothing fancy at all, but the food was so tasty! And, as opposed to my group, maybe you don't miss the cemetery: as far as I heard, this is also a must-see.

An old town left to live its last days. This was my impression. We went there for its history, visited the cemetery which is one of the emblematic places from Sulina, we did multiple trips along the water, visited the beach which is excellent.

And the beach is better than in Black Sea southern resorts.
For the next stay I would like a longer period (I stayed only 3 days), other fun trips with Captain Nemo and if possible all meals at local guests. Restaurants are very expensive and dull, they do not have anything related to the vibrant and tasty local food.
The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The staff was very welcoming and they can assist you with everything you need, like transportation from Tulcea or Murighiol to Sulina, or with arranging trips to visit the Danube's Delta wonders!
The breakfast was so abundant that we had to ask the host to reduce the quantity of food as it was really too much! However, you shouldn't miss the local pike or carp caviar, or the smoked fish!
Close to the boat transfer and Delta trips. Close to ‘faleza Sulina’ and on the way to the beach. Very nice little apartment. Has all you need, small kitchen well equiped. Comfortable bed. We always like to have our own space, no waking up for breakfast within certain hours, no sharing the patio/lounge with other quests like in a hotel, especialy during a pandemic. Butterfly House was a perfect retreat. And it has a lot of butterfly decorations.
Very nice location. Super view. Very clean and comfortable rooms, with bathroom and air conditioning in each room, white towels, super beds (I was sleeping like on the cloud), very nice balcony with terrace. At the kitchen you may find all you need - refrigerator, microwave, cooker, frying pan, dishes - you may cook food yourself. River is 50m far from the Hotel, public beach (sea) is 5 mins walking far from the Hotel.
During our half month stay, everything was great. Newly renovated flat with amazing views over Sulina branch. Sunrises and sunsets are great durning summer days.
The host is very helpful bringing new towels and bedsheets as per our needs.
The beds are costly and we felt like home. I would definitely return it back in Sulina. The big supermarket, bakery, everything necessary is downstairs.
The room was clean and the beds were confortable. They have a nice yard and tables where you can sit outside. The hosts are very kind and they can help you with anything you need for your stay in Sulina, like what trips you cound do, where to eat the best food etc. The location is one of the best being one of the closest to the beach and the center or even the boats that do trips.
The best thing about this property was the host, Alex, who was just exceptional. From offering me a ride on his boat (which I didn’t take because I had already booked a ticket elsewhere) to showing me around Sulina in his own time. The apartment was clean, quiet, and would be perfect for several nights. Towels, bedding and shower stuff were all included.
A nice hotel, positioned right on the bank of the Danube. The room was spacious, well equipped (armchair, air conditioning, TV). The breakfast is very rich and varied, the coffee is really good, and the staff is very kind and attentive. Access to the hotel is simple, either by road or by boats (they leave you at a pier right in front of the hotel).

amazing location. 10 min walk from centre and 15 min walk to the beach and right on a little lakeside. the Junior suite has an incredible view and large windows. the place, like the whole of Sulina, is super secure. very homely feel and very very lovely hosts. breakfast was super yummy.
Nice family owned business, very clean, nicely furbished, all amenities that we needed (or not 🙂) were available (air conditioning, TV, fridge - in the room and on the terrace, dishwasher etc)
We will definitely stay here again when we’ll return to Sulina. Thanks for the hospitality!
They are hooked up with a top notch transportation company that picks up and delivers at the hotel dock. I got to see and do everything I wanted with no transfer hassle. That's a big deal for me. Room was very nice and had the best a/c I found in 3 weeks of travel. Good service.
very nice host: she runs the whole hotel by herself and was really helpful (helped organising a boat trip and also the boat taxi back to Tulcea), very nice breakfast, it was no problem to store our luggage while we were at the beach, very clean rooms!
The host was very nice and helpful. The apartment was clean, comfortable and close to the Danube and the center of Sulina. It was hard to reach the beach, cause of the lack of cars, but the host helped us often with this.

Great location, amazing stuff!!! But above all, food here is the best in all Sulina! I had the most delicious fish soup at Casa Pescarilor. We will definitely come back!!!
The hotel is one block from the channel. It was comfortable and quiet. She provided a good breakfast the first morning then a breakfast to go on the second morning.
