I could not say enough good things about this property. Even though my family lives very close by, I needed my privacy and peace and quiet time and I got that 100%! I love how quiet the place was, how respectful everyone was of my privacy, how attentive the staff and the cleaning staff was, and the cleanliness of the place. The room was immaculate, the kitchenette was so useful, I made coffee every morning, I drank my coffee on the balcony some days. I washed my clothes in the provided washing machine that's in the kitchenette. I stayed almost 2 weeks, so of course I needed the armoire and the dresser provided and I was so thankful I had all that room to put all my stuff, even a shoe rack by the door. It was so convenient that I felt like I lived there. The bathroom, spacious, modern and most of all, so clean. The staff provided me with enough towels, clean bedding, coffee, sugar, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. The staff stayed in contact with me and communicated as necessary. I was only a few steps away from coffee shops, restaurants and a pharmacy, which was so convenient.

There are only a few good local attractions e.g. the Memorial Museum, but otherwise the town is not very attractive.
Rather stay in one of the smaller villages en route.
The steam train from Viseul se Sus was a highlight but getting there using local transport was a mission so rather stay in Viseul de Sus.

An interesting old town with remnants of some long gone old glory. Visit to the Memorial Museum is a must. Good local food, friendly and helpful local people, a nice mix of local languages and cultures (Romanians, Hungarians, Ukrainians, Rutens and God knows what else...). Good starting point for day-trips to the not beatiful but splendid countryside, famous wood churches, the one-of-a-kind experience of Sapanta Cheerful Cemetery, The Viseu railroad and many-many other nice things. Do not miss!

We came as a group of 26 people directly visiting the prison museum in the centre which was excellent - we liked it very much, very informative and interesting. We also saw the Merry Cemetary just 20 km from the town.

Thank you very much for your very early check-in! After calling the number, they let me into the hotel, showed me my room and everything I needed. the room had a balcony which was very pleasing, very clean, comfortable bed, the room had a refrigerator. on each floor there is a kettle and coffee machine, unfortunately the kettle was not in working order: (in general, I am very pleased with the stay! Thank you very much! I recommend! Friendly staff who can communicate with you with the help of a translator, only the owner speaks English)
Thank you very much for the good welcome to the hostess, and the very late check-in, and for being accommodating. They even helped me park the car. The only negative is not very convenient access to the hotel. the room was clean, the room was locked, the Wi-Fi was good. There is a shared bathroom and kitchen (with everything you need), the room is clean, the kitchen and bathroom are smaller since there were residents who live on a permanent basis. thanks for the welcome!
It is a new hotel, very comfortable, extremely clean, furnished with great taste. The staff is particularly kind and although it can be seen that they are at the beginning of the journey, they try to fulfill all the requirements of the guests. The location is very good, very central. Paid parking spaces (1 euro per day) are plentiful around the location. The breakfast could be more varied, but it is an ok option. All in all, very good value for money.
Ideally located to visit Sighetul Marmatiei, old wooden churches in Maramures (UNESCO sites) and The Happy Cemetery. Room and bathroom both had a good size. Internet was free. The inside pool was clean and well organized. Breakfast was good and nourishing despite the fact offer is limited and it was dish served. Parking is free, adjacent to the hotel.

The room was clean with a lot of space, modern design and furniture, big tv and nice air ventilation system. All the staff was nice and helpful, the food was absolutely amazing, drinks as well. A complete 5* experience on the facilities that are available at the premise. I wouldn't miss this hotel if you want to stay in this area/region.
The guest house is situated right next to a very nice park. The rooms were very nicely furnished and decorated and the host was more than friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also delicious and was served very quickly to us. We will definitely stay here again every time we come to Sighetu Marmației!
It’s a great property if you’re visiting this part of Romania. We had a flight cancellation from this region. And the hotel was very kind to provide automobile transportation to a Bucharest. This is not a small accommodation. And we will forever be thankful that they took us.
excellent place to explore the city by foot. parking was possible in front of the hotel (as also described by earlier visitors). very clean place, well equipped (but a water-cooker would have been great). easy communication with the staff, helpful and friendly.
Centrally located, the place is great if you want to spend a few days in Sighetu Marmatiei. The rooms are heated & clean, we really enjoyed our short stay there :)
