This is the second time I've stayed here and it was just as brilliant second time around. Our room was even bigger this time but just as comfortable with excellent amenities, air conditioning, and a spacious, well-equipped bathroom. Even though the room was on the main street, it has excellent sound proofing so we slept like logs.
Breakfast remains the same as a year ago and just as tasty - a great start to the day with plenty of options to choose from. There's also a nice outdoor terrace to enjoy a coffee on. The location is ideal, just a short walk into the old town and city centre.
I've no doubt that we'll be back again next time we're in Cluj!

A lot of option for food, either local or international and all that with affordable prices.
Good night life and happy people, a very positive note for them is also that they all speak english.
When you are in a hurry you can use uber, but basically the old town has everything you need to have fun.

Had to cancel one booking as the location was a mess (dirty sofa, mattress, broken lights, broken chairs, etc. while the reviews are 8.8 Excellent) compared to the very nice photos, Uber driver told me (with my wife and daughter) to go to him in the late raining evening instead of him driving 5 more minutes to get to us. I have this weird feeling that people are more about their image than their real situation (based on a business conference I participated). Messed up traffic - book something at the outskirts of the city and move around without your car. I think there's more marketing about Cluj than the real thing.

I just love Cluj! I have been here not for the first time, I really like to walk for 6-8 hours in the center, visit the park, botanical garden, swimming pool, temples, museums, cafes and restaurants. My favorite city!

What a surprising city.
What a surprising city. It's gorgeous & vibrant with so much history & culture. So many incredible cafes & the architecture is breath taking. Download the BOLT app (it's just like Uber), it's SO CHEAP !!
Very nice place in a nice area of Cluj Napoca. The common room was full of useful info about Romania and the receptionist really helpful. I loved the coffee machine and the travellers staying the same time as me were really friendly. The window of the top dorm made me think of the inn in “Fearless Vampire Killers” so I knew I was getting closer to the count. Also : I forgot my shampoo in the shower and it was still there in the evening so I regained faith in humanity.
I payed around 25 € for one night ( in a city as expensive as Cluj-Napoca) for a single room, so I had no great expectations. It was a nice surprise to find a very clean place, friendly staff and good location. The hotel needs updates, that’s for sure, but certainly offers more than it’s resonable to expect when you pay so little. Highly recommended as a transit hotel!
Our hosts were amazing and had excellent communication. They went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after including assisting with transport from the station as there was heavy rain as well as helping us with washing our clothes as the property washing machine hadn’t been installed yet. It’s also super close to the Cluj Napoca train station.
I stayed for just a few hours as I had to catch an early flight from Cluj-Napoca Airport and Hotel Transilvania provided everything I needed. The location is excellent also if you are in Cluj for a city break as it is centrally situated. The young man at Reception was very friendly and informative and there were taxis just outside the hotel.
Very clean , exactly as per the photo , fully equipped with washing machine and ironing board etc , feels like a hotel room with excellent huge bath room and amazing location next to the mall and 20 minutes from the center and 20 seconds next to roots coffee shop and back to back with my Auchan supermarket
The hotel is gorgeously decorated and right downtown. The views were lovely out our windows and the rooms were big and comfortable. My whole family had a wonderful time. The owners were very attentive and helped with anything we needed. We heartily recommend staying here! We will be back.
I’m sorry to say that we were quite disappointed in this hotel, but they do have lovely staff. A couple of other positives - the air conditioner worked well (though it appeared to be on a timer and shut off in the night), and the shower was ok, other than not having a door or curtain.
It was a beautiful apartment in the heart of Cluj Napoca. The old town is a 10 min walk, it's easy to reach bay taxi or public transport. Super modern apartment. All amenities are brand new and well taken care of. The beds are comfortable, the eco-design is pleasing to the eye.
The location was great, the staff was the best! the room was small, but modern, well designed and very clean. They were very accommodating in allowing us to leave our luggage in the hotel for a couple of hours after checking out. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!
This is a cleverly and beautifully restored building. We loved the old beams and sense of space. It is very centrally located on the main bus route into Cluj Napoca from the airport. There is an adjoining restaurant and many great places to eat nearby.
The hotel is located centrally, walking distance to all major sights, the WIFI worked well, all the required equipment is provided, the breakfast was ok, there is a supermarket and a bakery on the first floor of the building.
Amazing place, friendly staff, warm and clean room, amazing view, great location to reach everywhere in town centre, safe locks for the room, TV and Wi-Fi. I’m definitely going back every time I’ll visit Cluj Napoca.
