I can only recommend the place. We were in a running competion on the nearby mountain with the family and this time we have chosen Cavnic to stay and not Baia Mare or the nearby Baia Sprie. This small city lies in a very beautiful place, between the mountains. The city is not very beautiful itself, it has mainly old buildings, this apartmen's building too, but the apartment itself is very new and well equipped. At many eqiupment you can see that it's new and was never used before. So it's worth to stay there. We even made some food and we had all the equipment we needed. Everything is clear and the owner is very helpful and friendly. You have your own parking space and he answers any questions you have. I am sure the place is even more beautifyul in the skying season, where the mountains are snowy. I can just recommend the place for anybody!

Great location at the forest' edge, very quiet, with great views. The hosts are very kind and helpful. The cabin is brand new, the rooms are clean, and all but one have on suite bathrooms. One may book accommodation+ meals, but you may also, access the cabin' kitchen with professional appliances. The hot tub is a real treat!

Cavnic is a great place for a ski weekend. the slopes are perfectly groomed, maybe shorted than one would love, but still a lot of fun.
Night time skiing is a plus, as not many ski slopes have night lights, like Roata slopes do.
We stayed at the hotel in may, we were there with motorbikes, so not for skiing.
All in all we found the hotel very good for the rate that we payed. The rooms were good, beds are comfy, bathroom was ok. The indoor pool was also nice, not crowded at the moment we were there, but I think in the skiing season it could get a littel bit busy. Restaurant was also very good, exept maybe the wine selection, which was very limited and with lots of sweet wines. Breakfast was also good
Clean. All the basic amenities (fridge, microwave, cooking plate, ). This is an apartment in a block of flats downtown Cavnic occupied mainly in the ski season, that's why probably Wi-Fi was not working. Parking was available near the property. The bed was confortable. Quiet enough during day (kids playing in the area but the noise was noticeable but not disturbing, very quiet during the night. No elevator (it was situated on the second floor).

The staff was very helpful. The pool was clean and warm. The food was very delicious. We were there on spring time and the hotel as per price and value is unbeatable in this period.
