Wow, what a beautiful and modern studio in a charming stone building right on the Camino! It was perfect for us. The studio is spacious with a well-appointed kitchenette and a large bathroom with a great shower. It started raining right after we arrived, but we didn't mind. The studio was a comfortable place to write in our journals, enjoy the dinner items we brought with us, and relax for the evening. A nice touch was that wine was available in the room for purchase at a reasonable cost, so we enjoyed adding a bottle of wine to our dinner. Overall, we highly recommended Casa das Raposas to anyone walking the Camino. The location allowed us to have a moderate 22 km walk from Ansiao and then a short walk the following day so that we had plenty of time to explore the marvelous Roman ruins in Conimbriga.

Very quiet and cool at night. Maarten and Stefanie and kids are very kind. Invited me to their dinner table for delicious Spinach pie. A fabulous breakfast, that overwhelmed me.

Very quaint cottage. Cute stay. The directions to the place can be tricky but just call the guy. The host was exceptional. Ordered dinner to be delivered. Also pay close attention: There’s a Lock to unlock gate and careful of the door lock!!
