The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They were always available whenever I had an enquiry, and when I had to leave and was late to getting to the airport the staff immediately came to aid me and called a fast taxi for me.
Located in Escravelheira, this hotel is just 2 km from local beaches and 14 km from Ericeira. Free WiFi and free private parking are available.

Good value for money, spacious room, comfortable bed, good breakfast and a decent restaurant/cafe next door. Great place to escape the city for a couple of days.
Situated 45 km from Obidos Castle, CABANA DO SOL offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a tennis court and a bar. This luxury tent has a pool with a view, a garden and free private parking.

It felt very homely, like staying with distant relatives who you don't speak the same language as. Everyone was so nice and also the dogs were very funny. Felt very private to be in the cabin on the other end of the property. I felt very safe as a solo female traveller. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to the area, who prefers a down to earth and simple accommodation.
Set in Torres Vedras in the Centro region, Quinta da Carlota provides accommodation with access to an indoor pool. The property has pool and garden views, and is 34 km from Obidos Castle.

There are things to do in Torres Vedras for the outdoorsy and adventurous type. We were there to look at a property and wanted to get to know the local areas. It's surrounded by hills and valleys, close to the ocean and its numerous beaches and home to vineyards, vegetable farms and so on.
I'd say, see what the event calendar offers during the time of your travel and drive along the coast. It's the Portuguese version of the great ocean road drive.

The hospitality of the front desk was an absolute disgrace.
The hospitality of the front desk was an absolute disgrace. I have travelled a lot and spent a lot of time in hotels. This was the worst experience ever. In general I find that the Portuguese people are very friendly and helpful. This hotel is a 4 star hotel. That is a joke. They are not worthy of 1 star.

A small but delightful city just 40Km north of Lisbon and 12Km from the Atlantic coast. There are interesting Museums and historic buildings. There are routes to follow around the city for the Lines of Torres Vedras (Napoleonic War fortifications) Napoleonic battle sites and prehistoric locations (Zambujal) with its Central Portugal location, you can get to lots of other places within a 2 hour car journey -Coimbra, Evora, Bombarral (for the Buddha Eden gardens), Obidos and Nazare (for surfers). Food and (local) wines are both delicious and VERY good value. Bars and restaurants in Torres are plentiful... Liked Confidential, Patanisca, O'Parque, O'Pipo, Vynil and Boemia for an Irish ? Pub feel. Really relaxed pace of life and really friendly Portuguese people who will ensure you get the best of service and a warm welcome. Nick

I didn't spend much time in Torres Vedras - I only stay there as I have family living nearby. The large shopping mall Arena in the town is a good place for shopping and eating as well as cinema etc., but I didn't really see much else of the area as most of our time was spent on the beaches.
The staff made me feel welcome and really made this a positive stay. This quaint hotel came highly rated with a very reasonable price. The bed was as good as many more expensive hotels. Yes, the room is a bit sparse on decor, but does that really matter when the rest of the creature comforts are there? The breakfast is great. The staff and other guests were all so kind. It just gives you a cozy feeling. Getting there and back to Torres Vedras was easy.
Quality vs price was excellent. Check-in with host was flexible. Everything new and very clean. They put a 3rd bed for our second child.
City center spot is very nice, 10min walk to the historic castle.
Just a tip for people to park their cars, because the hotel is in the city centre parking in front is difficult and is paid (although very cheap). But just at 5min walk next to the Police Station you can park for free and with a lot of space.
The property was very easy to check in and out of. Our room was spacious and comfortable, we even had Netflix. AC worked well. Staying in Torres Vedras was convenient for us as it was much closer to a nearby wedding in a vineyard than staying in Lisbon. The owner Sara was very sweet, and despite not speaking English we were still able to communicate through google translate.
We loved our stay here! It was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast and pool facilities were amazing.
Jefferson went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed at breakfast, nothing was too much hassle. He was busy but made sure we had the best of everything and was so polite and professional. he really made it an excellent experience staying at the hotel.
Location was great, the property is located near/within walking distance of cafes and attractions. Very easy to check in and the apartment was so beautifully done. Wish we could have stayed here for multiple nights. Washer and dryer were a combo unit, although we did not have a chance to use it, I was happy that it was there. :)
The location is right across the street from a high school and it's a nice quiet street peppered with cafes, toy store and other amenities. I think we were right in the centre of Torres Vedras because the local council office was just a street down.
Susana was a very hospitable and always helpful hostess, she told in detail about the best things to see in the area around Torres Vedras. The location is excellent for exploring the area, trips to Óbidos and Santa Cruz. In general, I recommend it!
The size of the room, it's really great. Also, the bed was comfortable. The hotel is in the center of the city but you can't hear anything with the windows closed which was good to find. Overall, the facilities are great.
The room had a nice little balcony with nice views of the city and the Castelo. The hotel is located very centrally right in the middle of the old town. All in all it was completely sufficient for a weekend trip.
Location wise, the hotel is right at city center. Walking distance from many attractions. Quiet rooms and helpfull staff. Couldn't be happier with my choice. It wasn't my first stay and it sure wasn't my last.
Very nice hotel. Good location, there are many shops and restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean and cozy. Very nice friendly staff, always ready to help. I hope I can come back here again.
Location is great (city center but quiet place), easiness of registration, great staff, very clean and cosy. It's not the first time we stop in this hotel. And we are always pleased.
Great location! It is in the most central part of the town. It is quiet. The double bed was nice and big. The room is clean. Always there are taxis waiting in front of the hotel.
