Room excellent and well appointed. Breakfast superb. Location a bit tricky due to one way road system, parking close and secure. All the staff extremely nice and helpful.

A classic little hotel that was impeccably clean, we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome, and the beds were super comfortable. The location was fantastic, and the breakfast was simple but delicious. I would come back without a doubt.

I went in the off-season and did not go to the casino.
I went in the off-season and did not go to the casino. The incredibly large beach made for great walking. The boardwalk and the promenade were excellent for walking, too. Not a hilly town, per se. And I don't think i would care for high summer season. Uber is easily available and taking the train to / from Coimbra was inexpensive and easy.
I am a serious walker (average 6-8 miles a day) so I found the town easy to navigate.

We spent most of our time close to the Hotel and at Praia da Claridade/ Praia Alto do Viso.
Since it was just one night, we couldn't bring a lot of comments to this.
Nevertheless, we walked thru the night and we had dinner at Feito ao Bife, which is a very nice meat place, where you can eat different types of meat on the stone.
People from Figueira are very kind and warm.
They offer a lot of services and there is as well a Casino if you like to try your luck.
The city in a half season is quite easy to walk or drive.

Figueira da Foz seems to be a working town, not too much of a tourist town. Although it was not beach season and the beach was fog covered, it was very large and beautiful. We found some very good restaurants with traditional Portuguese food.

We loved Fig da Foz!
We loved Fig da Foz! A fairly quite resort town, just what we like! The only drawback is a pulp or paper mill located south of town. When the fog comes in so does the smell of the mill. We would consider living here if the mill is not a huge problem.

I was there in September and it was already dead.
I was there in September and it was already dead. Loads of things closed.
It's pleasant enough with good public amenities but there really isn't anything to do except explore the excellent beach.
Getting around without a car can be a challenge: the station is 25 minutes from the beach and although quite a few buses go to the market (much fewer to the beach) it's close to impossible to find out about them.
I hardly ever saw a taxi.
The best bit for me was lunch at the excellent Cafe Praca 18.

The Claridade Beach is the best place I have visited in Figueira da Foz, lots of seafood and restaurants near by. Jet7.5 near Praça do Forte is a great restaurant with live music! Worth to have a try. I quite enjoy walking by the beach, so all my visit was on foot.

The house looks fabulous in pictures but it is way beyond that live - brand new, well thought-out, highly functional and with enough design details to feel modern but not too much to make you feel out of place. The owners are welcoming and friendly and our interaction with other guests was nice. The beach is a minute away on foot and there are a couple of restaurants and two small grocery stores where you can get all the basics. Taxi to Figueira da Foz is affordable for those who are not travelling with a car.
Incredibly kind and friendly hosts, Cristina and Inés. We have the best impressions of the lovely town Figueira da Foz, opened up to us so soulful and cozy thanks to this place.
Cristina told us about the history of the hotel, gave us really useful recommendations and when checkout, made a photo of me and my husband (I always appreciate this opportunity).
Beautiful design, great breakfast, perfectly clean charming house where we would gladly come back. It feels like everything is made with love in this hotel.
my absolute favorite on the Portugal trip. I felt like a queen on every level. Extremely friendly staff, extremely clean, rooms with love and attention to detail and at the highest level. great views of the harbor in many rooms, public parking spaces. Luxury hotel at an affordable price with all comforts, free use of expresso/tea machine in the room and large mineral water. I heartily recommend this hotel to everyone to make their trip unforgettable
The location of the hotel was great--very close to both the beaches, and the riverside centre of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent--a huge selection, and very good coffee (which isn't always the case.) The facilities of the hotel were very attractively laid out. And the pizza restaurant downstairs was very good, and a discount to hotel clients.
Natalie and Anthony were wonderful and friendly. They couldn't have been more accommodating during our stay. Their guesthouse and gardens are beautiful (we stayed in the outside self-contained accommodation) and felt like a little oasis. Favourite stay of our 2 week holiday in Portugal. Highly recommend. We'd come back to Figueira Da Foz just to stay there again.
great view out at the ocean and lighthouse, easy access to the beach and restaurants. The hotel is nice and I liked the old style of wood and all the unique little artistic wooden boats that decorate the hotel. We had an ocean view room. The beach is huge so it's a walk to get all the way to the waves, but this is a great location. I would stay again!
Hotel is nice and price to quality ratio is what's expected, talking about the building and accomodation.
My bad mark comes from the very high stress level I experienced and the rudeness of the staff.
I wanted to go for 1 but i've decided to go 2 for the other qualities of the hotel, I guess.
Beautiful boutique hotel with lovely common areas. Room was a good size. Lovely amenities. Bed a little hard for my taste. Good breakfast served in the basement with no windows. Staff friendly and helpful. Wound definitely stay again.
Nice quiet location within 1km of the beach. Carla was a cheerful welcome and breakfast help. It was quiet, and although the rooms are not soundproof, the other guests and hotel settled down reasonably early. Summer may be different.
The hotel has a good location and was easy to fund
We had a nice room with a comfortable bed.
Breakfast was ok - not stellar, but good enough :)
I liked the beautiful backyard with the tables to relax in the shade.
Location of the hotel is great right next to the beach and with an amazing view over the beach, hillside and city. The pool is the top is amazing and it’s big enough to enjoy some time . Breakfast is super nice!
the property has recently been updated. it looks 5 stars and feels 5 stars. a hotel with Stokke chair for the small kids plus high chairs plus play room plus cinema plus gym plus pool. we will be back.
Perfect location for our first visit to Figueira da Foz, staff was very hospitable and accomodating, breakfast was great -- will definitely stay at Marina Charming during our next visit.
The staff, property, and location were all perfect. Very clean, virus sensitive, extremely conscientious about affording protection. Very modern hotel superior appointments.
Excellent location, very clean and well equipped. Close to all interesting point of Figueira da Foz. I'd say it's perfect if you don't have small babies or toddlers.
